Young & Hungry makes its debut on ABC Family tonight at 8p and you don’t want to miss this delectable show.
Gabi (Emily Osment) is a food blogger who desperately wants to be a personal chef, even though she has no experience. She gets the interview of the lifetime, the chance to be a personal chef for young tech entrepreneur Josh (Jonathan Sadowski), but his right hand man (Rex Lee) wants to hire someone else. When Josh comes early, she gets the chance to cook for him. It is enough to make an impression, but not enough for her to get the job. So he tells her if she cooks a meal that gets his girlfriend say yes to his proposal, he’ll hire her. But when his girlfriend dumps him right before the big dinner, it looks like Gabi is fired before he is hired. Will she get the job anyways or is she back to food blogging only? You just have to tune in to find out.
I was seriously not expecting to like this comedy, but I was hooked by the first commercial break. I hope they pair this sitcom up with Baby Daddy because the two are a perfect match
Then at 8:30p on ABC Family, Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling are together again in
Mystery Girls.
Fifteen years ago, Charlie Contour (Garth) and Holly Hamilton (Spelling) starred on the hit show Mystery Girls and since then they have gone their separate ways. Holly is still living like a celebrity, and Charlie is living life as a happy married mom in the suburbs. But one day things will totally change for them when they get a call from the police. Seems uber fan Nick (Miguel Pinzon) witnessed a crime and he won’t talk to anyone else but he Mystery Girls. So they come down to the station and realize they are still good at solving crimes even without a script. Because of that they decide to open up Mystery Girls and solve real life crimes together along with their assistant Nick.
That is what happens in the pilot that doesn’t air tonight, but I wanted to give you the back story so that you could be caught up. Tonight’s episode starts out with a false rumor that Holly is dead. Instead of telling everyone the truth, they decide to sell of her stuff and make a killing. But someone tries to sell a sex tape with her in it, so they have decide if she will tell everyone she’s alive or hold a fake a funeral. They opt for the latter and that’s when thing get really crazy.
Mystery Girls is cute in an ’90s syndicated sitcom type of way. So if you are missing those type of shows and Kelly and Donna, then you are going to heart this show.
