Eddie Murphy has been acting for over 45 years, but he has never headlined a scripted series. He has produced two, but he has never been in front of the camera for either.
However, next year he will be starring in the drama The Chairman on Peacock. The series is created by Emmy Award-winning writer Matthew Weiner, who produced Mad Men and The Sopranos.
That is all we know. So, are you excited that Murphy is returning to television? Is it wrong that I wish it were a comedy instead?

I was just thinking of him! Loved his animated series, "The PJ's" where he voiced the character of "Thurgood 'Goody' Stubbs".
