Over the last few weeks, Dolly Parton has been cancelling and postponing events outside of Nashville due to medical procedures and issues, including kidney stones.
Therefore, fans have been worried about her. Yesterday, it reached a boiling point when her younger sister, Freida, asked us to pray for the 79-year-old singer, who has not been feeling well.
After a few hours, Freida took to social media to clarify that her sister was a little under the weather, but it was nothing serious.
However, that did not really ease how much the fans are worried about the beloved Country star.
So, this morning, Miss Dolly, who is still working 9 to 5, this time for the Grand Ole Opry, posted a video of herself looking healthy and told us, “I’m not dying.”
She explained that when her husband was very sick, for a long time, and after he passed away in March, she did not take care of herself, as most caregivers don’t. Therefore, when she finally went to the doctor, they told her that they needed to take care of some things, which are nothing major. They suggested that she stay near Vanderbilt University for the time being to make sure everything under the hood gets taken care of.
I mean, she is a national treasure, and they don’t want anything to happen to her. Same as we don’t.
Dolly concluded her message with, “I’m not ready to die yet. I don’t think Gd is through with me, and I ain’t done working. So I love you for caring and keep praying for me.”
I will keep praying for her because we need more people who are as caring, humble, humorous, and as good as she is in the world.
