On Friday August 14th The N will be airing its first original movie, their Canadian show Degrassi Goes Hollywood and let’s they are starting off with a bang! The N will be bringing back alumni Paige, Ellie, Marco and Craig, recent grads Emma and Manny and current members of Degrassi for a movie that will mesh them all together, but still keep the Degrassi feel. I think that is in large part because it directed by Degrassi original Stefan Brogen aka Snake!
When Manny (Cassie Steele) bombs her audition for Jason Mewes’ new film, she must face the consequences when he casts Paige (Lauren Collins) instead. Paige’s old friends Marco (Adamo Ruggiero) and Ellie (Stacey Farber) fly to Hollywood to support her, but soon realize she’s become a diva overnight. While in Los Angeles, Ellie reunites with Craig (Jake Epstein) and old emotions surface between the former couple. Meanwhile, Manny (Cassie Steele), Jay (Mike Lobel) and the members of the Degrassi band The Stüdz board a school bus for a cross-country road trip to help Manny reclaim the lead role in Mewesical High. Will Manny make it to L.A. in time to claim the role she knows she deserves or will her high school nemesis Paige be standing in the way of her dream?
Not your typical Degrassi episode, but it is still the show we all love and enjoy! Believe you are not going to want to miss Degrassi Goes Hollywood when it premieres on The N at 8p and check out Degrassi: The Next Generation tonight at 8p!!! Next week I will write a longer review, but for now I will tell you that I so love this movie!
