Last year, Dave Coulier announced that he was battling stage 3 B-Cell Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Earlier this year, he shared that he beat it with the help of chemotherapy.
Sadly, this year he is ending it the same way he did last year. The actor told Today this morning that he is battling a different, unrelated cancer.
In October, he was diagnosed with HPV-related P16 Squamous Carcinoma (tongue cancer). This time, he will fight it with 35 treatments of radiation, which will conclude on December 31st.
Hopefully, he will find out shortly after that he is cancer-free. And part of the reason he will be able to say that he beat two different types of cancers in a year is because of early detection. Both cancers were caught early, giving him an optimal outcome.
Since he got the awful news twice in a year, he wanted to know why. Therefore, he started looking at everything in his life, like clothes, food, and toothpaste, that might have made him susceptible to the diseases.
