Da Brat was sentenced to three years in prison today for striking a woman with a rum bottle at an Atlanta-area nightclub last year according to the
Atlanta Journal Constitution. The Judge also gave her 7 years probation and 200 hours of community service.
Da Brat plead guilty for striking the woman who was hospitalized and suffered permanent facial scarring.
About six members of Harris’s family wept when a sheriff’s deputy took her into custody.
“I love y’all,” Harris, 34, said as she was led out of the courtroom.
“We love you too” the relatives replied in unison.
What she was did was awful, but does the time fit the crime? When others who committed worse crimes do less?
BTW I wonder if VH1 is considering doing a reality show following her time behind bars?
