Have you ever wondered what it would sound like if someone who is pitch-perfect sang the National Anthem? Well, we are going to find out at the Super Bowl because the NFL has asked him the Star-Spangled Banner at the beginning of the big football game.
Puth will be joined by Brandi Carlile, who will perform America the Beautiful, and Coco Jones, who will sing Lift Every Voice and Sing.
“Super Bowl Sunday is the world’s biggest entertainment stage, and we’re proud to spotlight artists who embody the very best of music and culture,” said Jon Barker, senior vice president of global event production for the NFL. “Beyond the game itself, the Super Bowl is a global celebration. These artists bring a distinct voice to the moment, helping set the tone for a day that will captivate fans around the world.”
It was also announced that Deaf Performers Fred Beam will perform the National Anthem and Lift Every Voice and Sing, Julian Ortiz will sign America the Beautiful, and Deaf Puerto Rican performer Celimar Rivera Cosme will team up with Bad Bunny for the Super Bowl Half Time Show.
Super Bowl LX will take place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara on February 8th.
