No surprise here as USA announces that they have picked up the multi-Emmy nominated mini-series The Starter Wife as series. At this point the only cast member announced for the show is Debra Messing. I wonder if this will effect Peter Jacobson's role on House since he played/s her ex-husband. Variety is reporting that production will begin on the show in March and will be back on the air next summer.
You can tell from these bloopers that these guys have a great time on the set! I can’t wait until January when Psych is back on USA for the second part of its second season!
You didn't need a crystal ball to know that Psych was going to get a third season, but it took TV Guide to give me the final confirmation! Psych which had its summer finale on Friday will be back in January to conclude its second season, but the news confirmed it will be back with Monk next summer! I can't wait for both these shows to be back in January and the summer!!!
I can't to see what both Monk and Psych get themselves into this season! I just love Tony Shaloub as Monk, can you believe they originally wanted Michael Richards to do that role. Thank gosh that didn't work out!
BTW I thought I was going to get a break from TV this summer, but I think I am watching the same amount of TV as I did during the regular season.
According to Variety, "The two-hour premiere racked up 5.4 million total viewers, 2.8 million of whom were adults 25-54, USA's target demo. In the key adult demos of 18-49 and 25-54, "Starter Wife" beat the programming on every other cable net Thursday night and on every broadcast web except CBS." Not too shabby! If the ratings keep up for the remaining Thursdays, USA has the option to pick it up as a regular series. If I am correct, 4400 started out that way and it is not premiering it's 4th season on June 17th…but more on that coming later! BTW The Dead Zone starts on USA also on June 17th and more coming on that too later!!!
