Bargain Balloons
The Larimer County Sheriff held a press conference today saying that they believe that Balloon Boy really was a hoax. According to KDVR he said, “We have evidence to indicate (the Heenes) were marketing themselves for a reality television show in the future,” adding later on “Clearly, we were manipulated by the family and the media was manipulated by the family.” He also said that criminal charges will be filed against Richard and Mayumi Heene. No word if and when child services will step in.
This is so sad, what this family has done for the desperation to be on TV. Is this what reality TV has done to people? They feel the need to fool the world that their son was carried away in over-sized Jiffy Pop balloon filled with helium just to get on TV again? If this is the future of people that are appearing on reality shows, maybe it is time to start cutting back big a$$ time. I mean it is getting weirder and weirder and the people are getting more and more out there. There has to be a point when we say enough is enough. But the problem is, I am not quite ready to stop watching. What to do??? Well for starters if they can prove in a court of law that this was a hoax, throw then in jail and make they work to pay off all the money it cost to search for their son who didn’t need to be looked for. And most importantly…don’t give them a show!!!
Mackenzie Phillips has written a tell-all book called High on Arrival and in it she makes the shocking claim that her father, John had sex with her according to People.
“On the eve of my wedding, my father showed up, determined to stop it,” writes Phillips, who was 19 and a heavy drug user at the time. “I had tons of pills, and Dad had tons of everything too. Eventually I passed out on Dad’s bed.”
“My father was not a man with boundaries. He was full of love, and he was sick with drugs. I woke up that night from a blackout to find myself having sex with my own father.
“Had this happened before? I didn’t know. All I can say is it was the first time I was aware of it. For a moment I was in my body, in that horrible truth, and then I slid back into a blackout.”
She goes on to say to she continued to have sex with her father and that their relationship eventually became consensual and that at one point she feared she might have been pregnant with her late father’s baby. Having revealed all of this she tells People, “Don’t hate my father.” Seriously what do you or can you say about this?
She will be on Oprah Winfrey tomorrow to talk more about this and People has more details in their magazine is out now.

Kathy Griffin, who is old enough to be the mother of most of the people at the Teen Choice Awards, brought along a teen dad with her as her date. And not just any dad, but the most famous one, Levi Johnson. So looking at the desperation of both of them in these pictures, I wonder who is the bigger publicity whore in those pictures…him or her? Afterall she asked him, but he accepted to go with a woman the same age as him mom and what could’ve been his mother-in-law.

Almost 6 months after Chris Brown attacked his now ex-girlfriend Rihanna, he finally apologizes to the public for his actions. I understand why his lawyer wanted him to remain silent for so long, but I think it is too little, too late. You can tell that what he is saying is from the heart and not a publicist statement because of all the grammatical errors, but it still doesn’t do enough to sway me. To this day whenever I hear one of his songs on one my Now CDs, I hit skip because I just can’t listen to him without thinking of what was written in that incident report and visualizing that infamous picture of her. I don’t know what he can do to ever win his back fans. Did he win you back with this public apology?

Word to wise, if you own the bong that a famous Olympic Gold Medalist has smoked and the town sheriff says he actively looking into if there was wrong doing in his jurisdiction…don’t try to sell it on eBay. According to WIS that is what the person did.
We’ve now learned that since investigators began trying to build a case, they’ve made eight arrests: seven for drug possession and one for distribution. These are arrests that resulted as the sheriff’s department served search warrants.
We’ve also learned that the department has located and confiscated that bong.
Sources say the owner of the bong was trying to sell it on eBay for as much as $100,000.
The owner, who wasn’t even at the party, is one of the eight now charged.
Phelps is not one of those charged at this point, but the sheriff’s department has strong evidence that matches the photo to the house on Blossom Street.
