|  Ugly Betty’s Vanessa Williams has revealed that she almost missed out on her role in the show. The actress – who plays magazine boss Wilhelmina Slater – was considered by producers from the beginning but couldn’t make it to the auditions in Los Angeles after losing her father. "We’re a very close family and it completely rocked our world. We went away to Egypt," Vanessa explained. "So I couldn’t meet with the producers and they cast someone. Then I got a call, ‘We want you to start tomorrow…’ You just never know in this business."

I could not, she is just so perfect in the role. Especially with the upcoming storyline, did anyone see that coming?

|  ABC’s "Ugly Betty" continues to load up on the guest stars, signing Lucy Liu and Jerry O’Connell for February sweeps appearances. Liu ("Charlie’s Angels," "Kill Bill: Vol. 1") will appear in two episodes of the Golden Globe-winning ABC series, beginning Thursday, Feb. 15. She’ll play Grace Chin, a former college classmate whom Daniel Meade (Eric Mabius) once stood up for a date. That past comes back to haunt him when he asks for Grace’s help in resolving a family issue.

I am just so bummed that the show is going for this many guest stars this early on. To me that is what a show who’s ratings are slipping does not a show where the lead is racking up awards!

Seriously she got the same bangs and it is about the same length as America Ferrera’s wig on Ugly Betty, don’t you thnk? But ofcourse Salma Hayek still looks gorgeous.

Edward Norton wants to get Ugly…Betty |

 Edward Norton is stunned by his ex-girlfriend Salma Hayek’s new TV hit Ugly Betty and is desperate for a role himself. "Ugly Betty," starring America Ferrera, is based on a popular Spanish-language telenovela from Colombia called "Yo Soy Betty La Fea" or "I Am Ugly Betty." America Ferrera plays a plain New York City girl who manages to find a way into the fashion world. Norton – who dated Hayek from 1999-2003 – is blown away by the series, which she created and produced. And he confesses he’s planning to get in touch with her about securing a cameo. He says, "I’m really happy for Salma. She deserves it."

I think that Ed Norton is one of the best actors out there, so I am really hoping he does a cameo on Ugly Betty!
