Before John Aniston was the villain of Salem on Days of our Lives, he was catching them on I, Spy. How handsome was the 33-year-old with jet black hair and no mustache in that 1967 episode?
This is going to be a tough week for fans of Days of our Lives because they are going to say goodbye to the beloved Victor Kiriakis.
John Aniston, who portrayed the villain since 1985, passed away on November 11th.
Since Soap Operas tape so far in advance, it takes them time to kill off a character that belonged to someone who passed away in real life.
So this week, word will get back to Salem that Victor’s plane crashed, and he did not survive. Then his friends and family will get together for a funeral and talk about the man that had such a huge impact on their lives.
And tears will be shed. I haven’t watched Soaps in a long time, was their crying always this comically bad?
John Aniston passed away on November 11th at the age of 89, and next month Days of our Lives will say goodbye to Victor Kiriakis, according to Showbiz 411.
While Aniston was loved by his fans, he was hated by Salem. So it will be interesting what type of send off he will get on the Peacock Soap Opera.
The actor played the role from 1985 until his death.
Kin Shriner has been playing Scotty Baldwin on General Hospital on and off since 1977. However, it looks like his time has come to an end.
The actor wrote, “I just found out Scotty @GeneralHospital was written out. I thank u
@GeneralHospital fans for decades of supporting me!!”
Since this was tweeted late last night, we don’t know when and how he will be written off. I think it is a shame when someone who has dedicated that much of their life to a Soap Opera is just let go unceremoniously like that. But not everyone can get the Anthony Geary exit. Oh, wait, his departure was atrocious too.
It has been about four years since Shemar Moore has been back in Genoa City. And on Monday, he will be there to connect with his daughter Lily (Christel Khalil), nephew Devon (Bryton James), and stepson Nate (Sean Dominic).
Moore has been playing Malcolm Winters on and off since 1994. And he is one of the show’s most beloved characters.
So it makes sense that he would be invited back to celebrate the Soap Opera’s 50th anniversary.
He is not the only one who has returned to The Young & the Restless for the milestone; so has Michael Damian, Patty Weaver, Barbara Crampton, Tricia Cast, and Veronica Webb. It will be interesting to see who else will come back home. Maybe Doug Davidson, Peter Barton, or Grant Cramer?
