|  Did Victoria Rowell quit The Young and the Restless because she didn't feel the love? The fireball actress has released a statement saying she'll exit her role as Dru on April 1. Set sources say she's po'd that she didn't get enough votes from her cast mates to land a spot on the Emmy nomination ballot. And the diva's press agent isn't denying those rumors. Word is, CBS was blindsided by Rowell's announcement, but frankly it's not that hard to write her out.

What a stupid reason to quit? Sounds like the cast did the right thing not voting for her diva a$$.
Doesn't sound like it is much of a loss because SoapCentral did a poll to see if the viewers will miss her and 2/3 said no. Ouch!

Soap fan cofuses show with reality and attacks Drake Hogestyn |

 TMZ has obtained a restraining order filed by veteran "Days of Our Lives" actor Drake Hogestyn against a man he says assaulted him in his home on New Year’s Eve, and "physically tried to exorcise the devil from me." Hogestyn, who has played John Black on NBC’s "Days" for over 20 years, says he was with his family in the backyard of their Malibu home when Carl Raymond Cheney of Portland, OR came onto his property and ran at his daughter carrying a bible screaming "Where is he? I will cast him out!" Hogestyn says Cheney was "calling me by my stage name… recalling past storylines, especially the demonic possession of several years past. But more important, he thought I was dead, because the show that aired on Friday 12.29.06 left my character John Black shot & presumed dead." Hogestyn, who was on a ladder painting his house, says Cheney grabbed and pushed his wife backwards on their patio stairs. At that time, Hogestyn "grabbed him by the hair, spun him around, delivered a right cross to the chin that sent him down the stairs." According to the restraining order the struggle continued for 10 minutes until Hogestyn and his 25-year-old son Ben were able to subdue Cheney by duct-taping the intruder’s hands and feet until police arrived. Cheney was transported to the L.A. County Jail where he is still in custody on $150,000 bail. According to the court documents, a map with directions from Portland to Hogestyn’s home were found in the front seat of Cheney’s car.

That is so crazy. Luckily it doesn’t happen more often because people get really obsessive with their soap stars.

I am so happy that Patch finally got his memory back and Kayla and him are really back together! They have always been my favorite couple on Days! And to have Clay sing to them tomorrow is just icing on the cake for me.
BTW is it just me or is it weird seeing Stephen Nichols without his patch?

So I was just watching Friday’s General Hospital and Bobbi gave Lulu her mother’s ring and I remembered that Sears was selling them. So I went to their site and they still had them. The ring is so beautiful, I just might have to bite the bullet and get one. Am I the only one who wants one?

General Hospital will kill off Dr Alan Quatermaine in February |

TVGuide.com has learned that General Hospital pink-slipped Stuart Damon this week. The Daytime Emmy winner has played Dr. Alan Quartermaine on the ABC sudser since 1977. Word is, Dr. Q will suffer a fatal heart attack in February sweeps. This is very sad news, suds fans, but it’s no surprise. Recently, Alan has been little more than a glorified extra in those quarrelsome Quartermaine livingroom scenes. And in these days of budgetary belt-tightening in afternoon TV, the veteran soap pros seem to be first to go. A GH rep had no comment for this story.

I wish they would use the Quatermaines more and The Corinthos less, but I do not see that happening anytime soon.
