Alison Sweeney aka Sami Brady gave birth to a girl today according to People. Megan Hope Sanov was born at 12:12a and weighed in at 6 lb.- 7 oz. Megan has a 3 year old big brother namd Ben! Alison is also host of The Biggest Loser and I am sure she will be using lessons from the show to lose her baby weight. But watching her on Days Of Our Lives she won't have much to lose!

General Hospital turns the clock back next week |

Once again ABC's General Hospital is starting an episode with a huge scene and then turning back to the clock to all the moments that lead up to that harrowing moment! Next Thursday starts with Patrick running in to an operating room asking the doctors to stop the surgery on an unknown patient for a mysterious reason and then the clock turns back 9 hours. For the next 9 episodes we watch an hour of time that will eventually lead up to moment that will be revealed on January 28th.
Dr. Drake’s ultimatum to his staff will be revealed and, from this point through February, medical staff, patients and visitors will be affected as a major disaster will strike the corridors of the hospital and make its way throughout Port Charles.
GH has done this before with an explosion and then turning back the clock to that moment and not only was it a huge success. it worked brilliantly! So I can't wait to see why Patrick wants to stop the surgery and how Port Charles will be affected by it all starting next Thursday on ABC!
BTW other big news from GH…Natasha Livingston is returning to General Hospital next Thursda, but not as the late Emily Quartermaine but as the new character Rebecca. Wonder if she will hook up with Nikolas Cassadine at some point???

Scott Clifton joins One Life to Live! |

Scott Clifton is finally coming back to daytime TV, but instead of returning as Dillon on General Hospital he will be playing Schuyler on One Life to Live according to SOAPnet.
He'll be playing the role of Schuyler (pronounced "sky-lar"), a Llanview high faculty member and a role which was previously announced with "One Tree Hill" alum Brett Claywell in the role. "OLTL" reconceived the role of Schuyler, so Scott was cast. Brett will still remain on the show — as a member of the Llanview PD.
Scott’s first epiosde airs on ABC on January 9th. I wish he was coming back to General Hospital instead because that is the ABC soap I watch!
Congrats to Scott! He is a really nice guy and deserves this!!!

Deidre Hall and Drake Hogestyn’s sand runs out on Days! |

The good news last week was that Days of our Lives was renewed by NBC for at least 18 months, the bad news was there are going to be a lot of casting cuts. According to Soap Opera Digest the sand in the hourglass has run out for Deidre Hall and Drake Hogestyn aka Marlena Evans and John Black.
Executive Producer Ken Corday says, "The couple will be happily reunited after a long period of angst and separation and will be off-screen after January for an unknown period of time. It was a very tough decision to make."
For years I have been wanting Marlena off the show because she annoys me, so I am glad to see her character finally depart. When it comes to Drake, I have only heard nice things about him, so I hope he lands on his feet which I am sure he will!
SOD also reported that Jay Kenneth Johnson aka Philip cleaned out his dressing room after contrats talks broke down and it is rumored that DOOL is already looking to recast his character.

NBC renews Days of our Lives!!! |

NBC has picked up Days of our Lives for another 18 months with the chance of adding another year to that according to Variety!!! Up until this announcement it was expected to be cancelled, so I am jumping and up and down for joy that NBC gave the Soap Opera a reprieve! Variety also said with the renewal means the show will have cost cuts, thus meaning there will be some cast changes. I know who I would get rid of and who I would keep.
I just want to say Thank You to NBC and Sony for picking up the show!!!!
