The Today show asked Craig Melvin and Al Roker to shoot a Prostate Cancer PSA with the NJ Devils and they tried to be funny. It is more painful than the pain a hockey player feels when when he gets hit in the hockey stick with a puck. It was seriously so bad, men are going to go the urologist to get their prostates checked for some relief. Which I guess means the PSA worked in a round about way.
Before Bryan Cranston was making meth on Breaking Bad, he was nitrous oxide inhaling dentist on Seinfeld. How funny is the 38-year-old in that 1995 episode?
To hear him tell Good Morning America how that moment came about, then click here!
Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb bet on the outcome of the Philadelphia Eagles vs the New Orleans Saints, and Guthrie lost. That meant she had to go down to the NYC subway this morning dressed as a Saint, sing the When the Saints Go Marching In and hand out cookies to the passengers. She was less than thrilled to do it, but she had no choice.
The Today show anchor was not the only one who was not happy about it, so were most of the people who tried to give to treats to. NYers know better than to take sweets from strangers at the subway station. I don’t know about you, but I wished they showed all the rejects. That would have been more fun. Although, this was pretty good too.
You know the expression don’t ever work with animals and kids? Well in television news, you cannot get away from them. News Funnies put together the best animal bloopers for the year, and they are nothing to crow about. I think that is the one the animal that was not seen in the 12-minute video.
It is worth sitting through this whole thing because they are a real hoot. You will be barking up a storm with laughter because you never know what these sweet little guys are going to do when they get their big shot of fame.
While the animals get their shot, so do the newspeople because they become YouTube sensations. Whether they wanted to or not.
CBS has had a rough year behind the scenes. Their morning anchor, Charlie Rose, was fired for sexual harassment and misconduct as was the head of the network. Part of the cleaning up process, they parted ways with the executive producer of CBS This Morning.
That decision seems to have been the final nail in the coffin for Gayle King. According to what sources told Page Six, she is considering leaving the morning news show by the time her contract is up next year.
Without her, how will the show go on? At least Today still had Al Roker and Savannah Guthrie when Matt Lauer was fired. Who will this show have?
I am sure if King left, she would find work somewhere else within seconds. Who wouldn’t want her? Especially her friend Oprah Winfrey. I would love to see them doing a travel show together.
