TV Land Awards Glee Club performs “Don’t Stop Believin'” featuring David Hasselhoff and Marilu Henner

2010 TV Land Awards 4/25 @ 9P/8
About the Awards The Honorees

Now I am not saying the Glee kids (well maybe Lea Michelle can take notice) don’t know how to perform for the camera, but these TV legends made Don’t Stop Believin’ even more fun than Glee made it and the season premiere was extremely enjoyable. The best part of this Sunday’s TV Land Awards is when the TV Land Glee Club with soloists David Hasselhoff (Knight Rider, Baywatch) and Marilu Henner (Taxi) were accompanied by Todd Bridges (Different Strokes), Joyce Dewitt (Three’s Company), Jamie Farr (M*A*S*H), Marla Gibbs (The Jeffersons, 227), Howard Hesseman (WKRP in Cincinnati), Shirley Jones (The Partridge Family), Richard Karn (Home Improvement), Richard Moll (Night Court), Marion Ross (Happy Days), Jimmie Walker (Good Times), Marcia Wallace (The Bob Newhart Show, The Simpsons) and Fred Willard (I think he guest starred on all of those shows) sang the song that made Glee a phenomenon. How much of phenomenon? Well they received the Future Classic Award at the 8th Annual TV Land Awards. So to honor the show that brought good singing back to TV, the TV Land Glee Club made a rare appearance and sang their legendary hearts out in honor of Glee! You can watch that performance and so many other incredible reunions of the casts from The Love Boat, Everybody Loves Raymond and my favorite Bosom Buddies along with so many more surprises this Sunday at 9p when Tim Allen hosts the TV Land Awards. I have seen the show and can I tell you it is an instant classic? Oh and did I mention that Blondie does a medley of their hits? They were so good that got me, One Way or Another.

Peter Scolari and Tom Hanks reunite for the TV Land Awards!!!
April 5th, 2010 under TV Land. [ Comments: none ]

Bosom Buddies Peter Scolari and Tom Hanks along with Donna Dixon, Thelma Hopkins and Holland Taylor are all reuniting for the TV Land Awards! Kip, Buffy, Henry, Hilde, Sonny, Isabelle and Ruth will all accept the Anniversary Award to honor the show that showed us that Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari make pretty women 30 years ago! I loved this show when I was growing up and has such a crush on Peter Scolari on him. So now I am so excited to see him in person when I will be on the red carpet at the TV Land Awards! Even though it has been 30 years since we met the Bosom Buddies, this whole cast has aged well. Too bad that Wendie Jo Sperber is not around to be there in person, but I am sure she will be there in spirit.
Tune in to see if Hanks and Scolari will come in pants or dress at the TV Land Awards on April 25th at 9p. Home Improvement’s Tim Allen is hosting the 8th Annual Awards Show!

Betty White is Hot in Cleveland and Hollywood
March 16th, 2010 under Betty White, TV Land. [ Comments: none ]

Betty White is coming back to weekly television this June in TV Land’s first sitcom Hot in Cleveland. Three other sitcom legends, Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves And Wendie Malick are starring in the show as LA woman who find themselves in Cleveland when the plane they were on that was going to Paris makes an unexpected landing there. The Golden Girl will be playing the snarky but lovable Elka Ostrovsky, property caretaker of the home that the three women move into. With these 4 comedic geniuses starring in Hot in Cleveland on the network of classic shows, I can’t wait to see how this show turns out in June! It has Miss Betty White in it, what else do you need to watch it? Seriously who doesn’t love her?

The Oscars didn’t think that Farrah Fawcett was worth honoring, but TV Land does and they will have a special honor for her at this year’s TV Land Awards on April 25th. Surviving cast members from Charlie’s Angels will be on hand to accept the Pop Culture Award and honor their late friend Jill Monroe aka Farrah Fawcett.
Besides the cast of Charlie’s Angels being there, the surviving cast members of Everybody Loves Raymond will reunite for the first time since Peter Boyle’s death to receive the Impact Award. The cast of Glee will also be there to accept rge Future Classic Award. Finally Your Show of Shows’ Carl Reiner and Mel Brooks will share the Legend Award.
The TV Land Awards always gets great television stars from the past and the present to attend, so make sure to watch it on TV Land on April 25th!

The High School Reunion ends tonight
March 3rd, 2010 under TV Land. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight is the season finale of High School Reunion on TV Land at 10p and what a reunion it was. There were 3 engagements, 1 wedding, 1 classmate kicked out, 1 classmate revealing her stripper past, while another 1 reveals his drag future, lots of alcohol consumed, plenty of fun and 15 friends for life! Tonight the reunion comes to a close with a prom that will leave two classmates who hooked up at the reunion engaged and an ex in tears. Another will have his dream prom because he will get to go with another guy something he couldn’t do twenty years earlier. One classmate has no one to go with, but she will get a surprise…who will it be? And what says ’89 better than the song Humpty Hump and Shock G will be singing that at their prom!
I am sad to see this reunion end because I felt like a member of their class, but at least we have one more exciting episode before we say goodbye to them. Who knows maybe John will be back for one more dance???
BTW a big part of this season of High School Reunion was love, and tonight after the season finale we will get a sneak peek of First Love, Second Chance on TV Land at 11p. The show reunites past lovers and let’s them have a second chance of love. Did they make the right choice breaking up all those years ago or did they make a mistake? We get to find out each week if it is true that first love, never ends.
