Drop the Mic or Drop the Dr. Ken?
August 30th, 2018 under Ken Jeong, Shaquille O'Neal, TNT/TBS/TCM. [ Comments: none ]

It is going to be Ken Jeong vs Shaq on Drop the Mic. I hope for Dr. Ken’s sake, he loses. Because if he won, then Shaquille O’Neal might drop him. If he drops him, then there will be no more Jeong.

Actually, the battle of the diss already happened. To see who won, then you can watch it on the TBS site.

Even though this already happened, the photo is way too awesome not to share.

It looks like I Am the Night will preoccupy your nights in January
July 2nd, 2018 under TNT/TBS/TCM. [ Comments: none ]

Chris Pine is working with Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins on another project and this one is for TNT. Starting this January their limited series, I Am the Night, debuts and the true story is more interesting than the trailer that was released today.

Fauna Hodel was raised by an African-American woman but turns out the White girl was adopted. When she was 15, she found out the woman who raised her was not her mom and decided to find out who her real parents were. What she found was even weirder than a White girl being raised by a Black woman in the ’50s and ’60s.

Her mom had her at 16 and claimed the girl’s father was Black so that no would question her being raised by a Black bathroom attendant/maid in Vegas. The girl’s grandfather was a well-known doctor in Hollywood. Not only because of his clients but also because he was accused of killing one of them. That patient is the Black Dahlia and she is not the only person that it is believed that he murdered.

Did not get any of that from the trailer, I did not either. I did some research so you did not have to. Now that you know what it is about, how much more do you want to watch this mini-series at the start of the new year?

TBS picks up then cancels People of Earth
June 10th, 2018 under TNT/TBS/TCM. [ Comments: none ]

Back in September, TBS picked up People of Earth for a third season, and now they have decided to change their minds. Creator, David Jenkins, tweeted, “Just got word last night: TBS has cancelled People of Earth. Thank you to everyone who was a fan of the show and enjoyed its gentle, amiable sci-fi weirdness. It was an honor sharing this show with you. Let’s do it again soon. Love you all.”

No reason on why they backtracked so late into the production of the show, so hopefully someone else will save it. There should be a network for unfairly cancelled shows, for series like this one, Heathers, Lucifer, Last Man on Earth and so on.

TNT closes the book on The Librarians
March 8th, 2018 under TNT/TBS/TCM. [ Comments: none ]

Ever since Kevin Reilly took over TNT and TBS, he has been cancelling all the shows that aren’t his. Even though those shows have had a strong fan bases and his new shows do not. In fact, he has been trying to turn TNT into the cheesy man’s FX and it is not working. Although, it is failing, that doesn’t stop him from cancelling good shows.

For example, today executive producer Dean Devlin, broke the sad news about his show today. He Tweeted, “Just got the official call. TNT has cancelled #TheLibrarians – I will immediately begin the process of trying to move the show elsewhere. Please keep your fingers crossed for us!”

I think this is a huge mistake because it was an enjoyable adventure show that the whole family could enjoy together. Hopefully his loss will be another network’s gain. They can go to a network that will appreciate it. Something it seems he never did.

When we last left off with the Parkers, they had just escaped to Alaska. Tonight at 10:30p on TBS on The Detour, they are starting off their new life in their new home state. They have new backgrounds and names to go with them, that is if they can remember them.

Nate (Jason Jones), Robin (Natalie Zea) and their kids, Jared (Liam Carroll) and Delilah (Ashley Gerasimovich) find the perfect place to live. It is a cute little town where everyone seems nice and they seem to like the Parkers. That is until Jared reveals his true name and their cover is blown. Will they have to be on the run again like they always are or can they settle there? To make matters worse, Nate is part of a viral video that exposes his family’s whereabouts. Guess who sees that video?

Coming up this season, Robin takes a job at a strip club and becomes a favorite of Big Daddy. While her husband takes on several type of jobs. Before he Nate proposes to his wife with one of the sh!ttiest proposals you will ever see. Wait until you see what that means. And so much more.

It is another wild season for The Detour, so you don’t want to miss a single second.
