The View boss Barbara Walters wants Rosie O’Donnell, who starts as co-host on Tuesday, to stop blogging about the show. "I didn’t like the blog," Walters tells Newsweek of a post in which O’Donnell complained about a promotional skit for the new season. "I saw the new view promos," O’Donnell wrote on her Web site. "Found myself/ in the position/ I loathe the most/ powerless." But Walters is hoping O’Donnell will be a team player. "I’m counting on Rosie’s intelligence and sensitivity and humor," she tells Newsweek. "This is, after all, an entertainment show. It is based on people who like each other and are having a good time, not on people who are arguing and unhappy." Soon after Walters spoke to the magazine, she called back to say she’d just received flowers with a card reading, "Barbara, I only want the promos and the show to be great. And I love you. Love, Ro." O’Donnell also says she has no hard feelings toward former co-host Star Jones Reynolds – although she admits she’d refused to be a guest on The View when Reynolds was there. The differences started, O’Donnell says, when "we had a little sort of discussion when Martha Stewart was in prison, when I questioned why it is women don’t stick up for each other the way other minorities do, such as O. J. Simpson being accused of murder still had the support of the majority of the black community." O’Donnell says Reynolds "was not happy with what I said or the way I said it. The next day, she told me she didn’t appreciate what I said. I told the bookers, ‘I’m glad to fill in if you need someone – if she’s not there.’ I don’t want to fight with her." But O’Donnell says she had no hand in Reynolds’s dismissal. "I would love to think I had the kind of power to say ‘Fire her,’ " she says. "But what would my motive be for ruining her life?"
People (Thanks Clinton)
OK, here a few how long question? How long until she does a major mistake? How long until they get into a fight via the media? How long do you think she will last?

Drudge Report
They can make her look skinnier, but she still looks a bitch. No amount of photoshooping can ever change that unless they remove her head. BTW is just me or does it seem that she was photoshoopen into that picture?

It’s more bad news for STAR JONES REYNOLDS. After her highly publicized exit from "The View" in June, the former talk show co-host has been dropped as the Payless Shoes spokesperson."There will be no more ‘face’ of Payless," a company source told the New York Post. "Star was the last."
Entertainment Tonight
And now that is is official that Daryn Kagan is gone from CNN when is John deKlein going to announce she is joining CNN? Just specualting, I mean it is just that CNN has a way of hiring people who have been fired from other networks.

Marcia Cross hates Barbara Walters |
August 14th, 2006 under Desperate Housewives, The View. [ Comments: none ]

Desperate Housewives star Marcia Cross was furious with Barbara Walters when the talk show host asked her about lesbian rumors in front of her parents.Cross married businessman Tom Mahoney in June, but had previously battled tabloid reports that speculated about her sexuality. And Walters decided to raise the issue during Cross’ appearance on chat show The View earlier this year. The star was shocked by Walters’ decision to bring up the issue, saying, "Honestly? I was not happy about it. I handled it very well at the time. "My parents were in town. My father, who’s eighty-something, and my mother were in the front row of the audience (in the TV studio)."When I got backstage, Barbara Walters came up to me and said (beforehand), ‘You know, I have to ask you about this.’ "And I said, ‘Why do you have to ask me about this?’ And she said, ‘Well, it’s news.’ "At which point my publicist came in and we sorted out how to deal with it. And then, thank God–my mouth and my thoughts really came together and I felt like I spoke well at the time."Cross claims the incident made her lose respect for the veteran newswoman, adding, "I have to tell you that I am not a huge Barbara Walters fan. That ended for me. "My dad was in the front row going, ‘What did they say? Are you a what?’ I just thought, about Barbara, ‘You didn’t have to ask me that question. That was tabloid-y of you.’ "I felt really used. So now I don’t really like looking at Barbara Walters!"
Is it is news when it is on The View? Please Barbara face it The View is a talk show and not a news show, so don’t hide behind news when it is not.
