STAR JONES REYNOLDS made it official on "The View" Tuesday, telling the audience that she wouldn’t be returning for a tenth season.
This morning, Star told RYAN SEACREST in a radio interview on 102.7 FM that following her announcement yesterday, she was asked by the ABC network not to return to the show today (she was scheduled to stay on until July 13.)
Star revealed that she just wanted to be honest with viewers about the fact that her contract was not renewed for a tenth season: "I simply told what happened," which included her telling People magazine that she felt like she’d been fired.

Who is Rosie fighting with now? |

Rosie O’Donnell is picking a fight with Oprah over the talk queen’s controversial interview with kidnapped teen Shawn Hornbeck. Lots of people are outraged, and many are screaming exploitation. But will O v. Ro turn into another Trump-scale nuclear conflict? Sources tell TMZ that Oprah’s MO is always the silent treatment, and that she’s not going to get into a Trump-Rosie-style war with O’Donnell. For instance, sources say, Oprah can’t stand Dr. Phil McGraw, who she thinks is utterly ungrateful to her. But rather than smack him down publicly, she’s dissed privately by not showing up to significant events in his life. O’s given the same treatment over the years to others who have displeased her, like David Letterman and Tom Cruise, publicly denying that there was any feud. That may still not stop Rosie, who’s easily triggered when she thinks kids are exploited.

I hate to admit it, but maybe Trump was right about her. I am not a Oprah fan, but Rosie just needs to stop causing a fight with everyone these days. It is getting old, real fast. If she wants out of The View why doesn’t she just quit already?

i was in the air when Anna Nicole Smith died the plane landed my phone rang “Anna Nicole Smith died three hours ago,” my publicist said “Do you have a comment?” she asked.
unbearably tragic 2 words only sums it up pretty much
simply to tell the truth to speak of her suffering 2 notice 2 care
fame more toxic than crack one hit and ur done
more tempting than sex the suffering of someone else her pain entertainment
ya know all anyone wants r people who they know will keep them from going over the edge
focus breathe keep me where the light is we pray
Rosie
I sincerely think she felt so awful about what she said. No one in their wildest dreams though that Anna Nicole Smith was going to die yesterday.

Shocking: Rosie not likely to renew with The View? |

Rosie O’Donnell — quite rightly, I believe — has had enough of Barbara Walters and "The View." I am told that she is not likely to renew her one-year contract when it ends in June and will leave the crazy talk show after boosting its ratings higher than ever. Sources say that Rosie feels that the backstage antics at "The View" "are completely dysfunctional." O’Donnell, who’s got plenty of money and lots of outside interests, simply doesn’t need to be there. I am told that her contract was for "one school year" and that ends in June. But ABC might feel differently, given that O’Donnell has made "The View" bigger than ever. It’s conceivable that the network brass will prevail — either buying out or retiring Walters and convincing O’Donnell to stay as the show’s moderator. Ironically, oddsmakers would have guessed that Elizabeth Hasselbeck, Rosie’s political and ideological opposite, would have been the one to cause O’Donnell the most pain at the show. But it turns out that Walters, the woman who chose O’Donnell for the job in the first place, surfaced as her backstage enemy. The tension between Walters and O’Donnell surfaced yesterday, first when Page Six reported that the pair had a fight about the Donald Trump-Miss USA saga just before the show went on air Monday morning. Then later yesterday, a letter from Trump to Rosie was leaked, in which Trump told O’Donnell that Walters, essentially, had betrayed her to Trump and acted disloyally. Whether or not this is completely true is irrelevant. But this — not the public façade she’s carefully crafted — is the Barbara Walters I’ve seen in action over the years. The first indication of this was seen earlier last year when she ditched the unpopular Star Jones in a most unceremonious and ungracious way. That should have been some indication to everyone that Walters was capable of just about anything as she struggled to preserve what’s left of her crumbling fiefdom at ABC. According to my sources, the Trump letter wasn’t the first piece of correspondence in this story. Walter apparently sent O’Donnell a letter over the Christmas holiday that wasn’t particularly supportive either. O’Donnell told friends she couldn’t believe Walters’ take on the situation. How this leaves "The View" for the rest of the TV season remains a mystery. O’Donnell isn’t going to quit, and Walters can’t fire her without ABC’s approval — and she won’t get it. The show is already lacking a fifth correspondent, and without O’Donnell — who replaced Meredith Vieira — it doesn’t have a marquee name as moderator. Of course, we’d love to hear what Joy Behar is saying off camera about all this.

Forgetting the whole Trump thing, did anyone really think she was going to renew with the show?

Round whatever: Rosie vs The Donald |

Donald Trump thinks he’s winning the war of words against nemesis Rosie O’Donnell, but in the war of popularity — The Donald is getting his butt kicked.
According to Nielsen Media Research, Trump’s “Apprentice” took a serious shellacking in the ratings this week, while Rosie continued to help the yentas on “The View” leave their daytime competition in the dust.
“The Apprentice” finished a distant third in its time slot on Sunday night, light years behind “Desperate Housewives” and “Cold Case,” and barely in front of old “Family Guy” reruns on Fox. In fact, Trump’s lead-in show, “You’re the One That I Want,” featuring pathetic Broadway wannabes, scored higher numbers. Ouch!
In contrast, Rosie’s been unstoppable ever since she took her first shot at the combed-over real estate magnate. “The View” has been a ratings juggernaut, picking up approximately 77,000 new viewers per week in its metered markets. The latest round of bickering caused nearly twice the surge.
Perhaps Trump should be Rosie’s apprentice!
