Joy Behar has been with The View for most of its 25 years. Today, the host did something she has never done before. No, she was not quiet for the whole episode.
So what was it? She was seeing red. But wait, she was always seeing red. Yes, but today she was looking down at her pants and saw red and not black. In other words, it was the first time she didn’t wear black slacks on the show.
I wonder what omen she brought onto the show for doing this? I mean, a change like that is huge. Does that mean they will get someone even worse than Meghan McCain and Elisabeth Hasslebeck combined to co-host next season? We will find out soon enough.
LeVar Burton was on The View today, and Joy Behar asked the host of Reading Rainbow what he thinks about states banning books. He looked her dead in the eyes and said, “Bullshit!”
While that is not a word he could’ve said on his show Reading Rainbow, it is in the spirit of the series. Books are meant to tell a story whether we like what it has to say or not.
We can’t erase the feeling of that period in history, even if we wanted to. So only way to learn from our mistakes is to know what they are.
On Monday, a memo was leaked that the Supreme Court of the United States is planning to overturn Roe v. Wade.
Well, today on The View, Joy Behar came up with a way that us women might be able to get lawmakers to make abortion legal in all 50 states. What is it? She is asking for us to go on a sex strike.
So, ladies, men want to control our bodies. Let’s show them they can’t. We need to close up our vaginas until we can do what we want with our vajayjays. They want to control our reproductive rights. Well, our reproductive organs are closed to them.
Say it with me, “No sex until abortion is legal!” I am woman, hear me roar to a vibrator.
Yesterday, Variety posted an interview with Andrew Garfield about what a year he has had with his acting career. In the article, the Oscar nom says he is taking a break because he says, “I need to just be a bit ordinary for a while.”
Well, lots of outlets assumed that meant that he was going to take a lot of time off, which would be completely understandable. I mean, in the last year, we saw him in Tick Tick Boom, The Eyes of Tammy Faye, Spider-Man: No Way Home, and Under the Banner of Heaven.
Today, when he was on The View, they asked him long his break will be for, and it is not as long as it was assumed. “I’ve been working hard, and I’ve been loving the work I’ve been doing,” he said. “I need to take a month or so. A month of a break, maybe two.”
Garfield earned that time off. But no more than that. We need as much of him on the screen as we can get because he is one of the best actors in his age group.
Joy started off today’s episode of The View with a boom. That is because the 79-year-old missed her chair, and went boom when she fell to the floor.
Being the tough old broad that she is, Behar got up with the help of Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, and Whoopi Goldberg (who I never saw move so fast), and she continued on with the show as though happened.
Although, she did joke about suing someone. Something Meghan McCain probably would’ve done had it been her who got a closeup view of the floor. Now that would have been a Hot Topic if it happened to her.
