September 29th, 2025 under The Simpsons. [ Comments: none ]

In 2007, The Simpsons went from the small screen to the big screen with their very own movie. Since then, fans have been clamoring for a sequel, even though they can watch Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie every Sunday on Fox.

In 2014, Fox began talks for a sequel, and it has remained that way until now.

Today, 20th Century Studios announced that the people of Springfield, in an undisclosed state, are returning to movie theaters 20 years after the release of the first movie.

So set the alarms on your phone calendars to remind you that Homer’s coming back for seconds on July 23, 2007.

Oh look, it is Julie Kavner!!!
August 5th, 2025 under The Simpsons. [ Comments: none ]

Growing up in the Bronx meant that Rhoda and her sister, Brenda, were our idols. Therefore, I have followed her career since before she was Marge Simpson.

Therefore, I could not remember the last time I saw her beautiful face on the big or small screen. So, I looked it up and it was in 2006’s Click.

Why was I thinking that? Because today on TikTok, I heard a familiar voice, and then I saw her face.

That is right. Kavner is back in front of the camera in Elle McCay, and she is still gorgeous! Just like Marge, she never ages!

I am assuming there was only one man who could get the private star to go public again, and that is James L. Brooks. He is the producer of this movie, and he produced Rhoda and produces The Simpsons.

Ella McCay is coming to theaters on December 12th, and I will be there to support her return to live-action acting.

Is Marge Simpson dead?
June 26th, 2025 under The Simpsons. [ Comments: none ]

A month ago, during The Simpsons’ season finale, they killed off Marge Simpson. Granted, she went up to heaven and married Ringo Starr in the future, but still, she was killed off.

Anyways, fans are just now bringing up that topic from the dead, and are wondering if the matriarch is gone.

Executive Producer Al Jean, who has been with the show since 1989, had an answer for fans who are worried about the blue-haired mom. He wrote, “Just want to make sure everyone knows Marge is alive and well.” At least for the next 30 years, although there was no death date on her grave.

Who knows if we will be around then, considering how this administration is going?

The Simpsons’ Nancy Cartwright has a tough job
April 28th, 2025 under The Simpsons. [ Comments: none ]

Almost all of us hate to go to work. But not The Simpsons’ Nancy Cartwright. That is because as Bart Simpson, she is on her “way to burp and fart for a living.”

If that is what I did for a living, I also would have a bounce in my step and a smile on my face.

Why can’t we all have jobs like that? If we did, we would also stay at our jobs for 38 years and counting, instead of wanting out after 38 weeks.

The Simpsons has been on the air for so long that they just did a table read for their 800th episode!!!

Nancy Cartwright, who voiced Bart Simpson since day one, shared a video of her day on the Fox Lot. Along the way, she showed us how the animated sitcom has left its mark on Fox!

Back to the milestone episode. To give you a hint of how far in advance they record, this Sunday’s upcoming episode is 785. Therefore, we will not see 800 on our TV screens for about a year.

Congrats to everyone on The Simpsons for being the series that just won’t die! So much so that Fox recently picked it up for four more seasons.
