For the last two decades Yeardley Smith has played Lisa Simpson on The Simpsons and yesterday she was photographed dressed looking like the character she has been voicing for almost half of her life. Just like the oldest daughter on the show, she was seen with blonde hair and wearing a short a-line red dress. The only thing she is missing is a chunky pearl necklace and she would look exactly like her. I guess if you voice someone long enough, you start to look like them. Which I am sure is scary news for Seth MacFarlane who will either start putting on weight or turn into a baby or a dog if Family Guy stays on the air much longer.
Tonight at 8p on Fox’s The Simpsons, Marge finally becomes the fun parent. When Lisa and Bart are good they get to spend the day with their fun dad and when they get home they are as happy as can be. Well Marge wants a piece of that action and decides to try to be the fun mom. Well her plan goes terribly wrong until car troubles change everything. They try a new restaurant and find themselves being Foodies. Now the three of them are spending every minute together, but Homer feels left out and is cooking up a plan to get back into his kids’ spotlight. Is Marge willing to share her new fun status or will Homer get his crown back? Tune in to this yummy episode to find out.
Oh and it is a Fox law that you can’t have an episode about food with Gordon Ramsay, so he will be making a dreamy appearance on the show!!!
For the last 23 years The Simpsons continues to top itself each with Treehouse of Horrors and tonight’s edition on Fox 8p doesn’t disappoint! In this homage to Halloween they take on Dexter, 127 Hours and Avatar in a way only they can. But the best tale from the Treehouse is when Homer is paralyzed by a spider bite and can only communicate through farting. Something so beautiful will come out of something so smelly. So tune in for the best episode of season of The Simpsons because it is spooktacular.
And make sure to keep watching Fox because at 9:30p The Cleveland Show gets their own Halloween special. Cleveland and Rallo can’t handle their sleepovers, so they will have to do something to prove that they are men. Meanwhile Roberta lives a Twilight fantasy and Robert Pattinson never looked so animated! So enjoy these scary tales just hours before Halloween!
After days of hearing about how The Simpsons could be wrapping up it’s legendary run because the actors weren’t will to take a pay cut, comes news from Fox today that not only was The Simpsons picked up one more season but two. That means the show will celebrate being on television for a record breaking 25 years!
It still amazes me that a little skit on the Tracey Ullman show will spinoff into such a huge success. She has reinvented herself almost as many times as the show has been on years and yet this little animated gem has some how remained on the air and stayed just as funny as when it debuted on her sketch show.
No details were given on the actors contracts, but as long as we don’t have to hear about it for another two years I am OK with it.
Oh and in a way I am kind of bummed that actors decided to stay on because I was looking forward to the replacement voices that Jimmy Kimmel Live debuted on his show yesterday.
Hank Azaria took the Twitter today begging people to watch his show by saying, “Okay it’s do or die time for my show Free Agents– we need eyeballs tonight at 8:30 on NBC!! Watch tonight or we may go away…” Well Hank, I love you, but unless you take that pay cut for The Simpsons thus keeping that show on the air, I have no intention of keeping your other one on!
And that goes to all the other greedy bastards on The Simpson who refuse to a make a few million dollars less in these tough economic times. You also make residuals off the show and all you do is sit in a room and talk into a mic. How many other actors are grateful to be working for just $250 a day (if they are lucky enough to) and you are complaining about an extra few million dollars? Do you realize how disgusting that sounds? I’m sorry, but none of them are worth it. I have heard enough people impersonate those characters voices that I don’t understand why they just don’t replace them with those other voices. It’s not like we will know the difference! Sorry it makes me sick that in these times when people are struggling to put food on the table this money grubbing group are not willing to take a pay cut. Really what do you with with all those millions of dollars? How many of those actors give any of it to charity? I mean they might, but I have not heard any big donations from any of them, have you? Sorry don’t mean to rant, but I did!!!
