Jeannie Mai and Jeezy secretly got married on March 27th in Atlanta in their backyard after being engaged for a year. The two were originally planning for a destination wedding but changed their mind.
“We were really looking forward to having all of our friends and family there to celebrate,” Mai told Vogue. “But we had to change all of our wedding plans due to COVID. After Jeezy’s mother unexpectedly passed, we quickly learned that life is too short. And at the end of the day, Jeezy and I really just wanted to become husband and wife. So we decided to turn our original wedding into a mini-mony, where we exchanged our vows in front of our immediate family and a few close friends.”
The two honored his mom via his dad, who left a single pink rose on the chair that would have been hers if she was still alive. Mai’s parents also played a part in her big day. Her dad walked her down the aisle, and Mama Mai sang at the after-party.
Besides having an American ceremony, they also had a Vietnamese one honoring Mai’s heritage.
Earlier this month, Jeannie Mai dropped out of Dancing with the Stars to get emergency surgery for epiglottitis. As part of the post-op recovery, she has not been able to talk. That means it is hard for her to be a talk show host.
Today, she visited her girls on The Real and told them that she will be back on the show next week.
How excited are you to see her back on our TVs with Loni Love, Adrienne Bailon, and Garcelle Beauvais?
Two weeks ago, Jeannie Mai had to drop out of Dancing with the Stars to get surgery for a possibly deadly medical condition. Due to the operation that she had for epiglottitis, she was not allowed to talk for a while afterward.
That was then; now, she is able to speak again because she is improving every day. However, her mother is leaving her speechless. That is because Mamma Mai is trying on her daughter’s clothes. I think she is rocking that leotard better than The Real talk show host.
Jeannie needs to give her more clothes as payment for being her nurse. Don’t you agree?
Back in the ’80s, before Johnny Depp and Garcelle Beauvais were famous, they met at a club in Miami. She told her co-hosts at The Real, that he could not stop staring at her. Eventually, the two of them started to talk, and he asked her to be in his music video.
The two of them exchanged phone numbers and met for a date at his sister’s house with whom he was living with at the time. While they were alone, the actor decided to give her a kiss. Is it as good as we all imagined to be? The Real Housewife said, “He hadn’t perfected the kiss yet. I guess.” I am sure he has by now. Or at least in my fantasies, he has. That is not all that he perfected!
Earlier this week, Jeannie Mai was forced to drop out of Dancing with the Stars because of a medical condition. She was diagnosed with epiglottitis and needed an operation to save her life.
The surgery was successful, and today she gave us an update. As part of her recovery, she cannot talk nor chew. The former has to be really hard for The Real host. I mean, imagine being a talk show host who cannot talk? Thankfully, it is just temporary.
