Donny Osmond is in the midst of his Las Vegas residency, but he was forced to take two nights off.

“I am heartbroken to let you know that I will be canceling tonight and tomorrow’s shows at Harrah’s Las Vegas due to illness,” the singer wrote. “The health and safety of everyone on stage and attending the show is the number one priority. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience this caused and appreciate your understanding. Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster will automatically be refunded, otherwise please contact your point of purchase for their refund policy.”

His next scheduled show is tomorrow night. Hopefully, he will be feeling better by then and delighting all his fans who have puppy love for him.

For those of us over a certain age, we knew exactly which celebrity Chris is related to on ABC’s Claim to Fame because he is the spitting image of his famous father. However, the other celebrity relatives on the competition show had no idea who his dad is.

So they guessed he was related to Elvis Presley, Elton John, or Billy Idol, and they were wrong.

Chris’ dad is Donny Osmond. Now that the show is over, the proud pop got to break his silence on all the people he is not.

For those of you who’ve been watching the ABC reality show Claim to Fame, I thought my son, Chris, did an amazing job! He made that show so interesting because no one could guess which celebrity he was related to.

Donny Osmond is 65, and he has released an album for each year that he has been alive. So does he plan on retiring anytime soon? Not that he could because he just signed on to extend his Las Vegas residency.

Back to retiring. He has no plans on doing that because he loves what he does. That, and told Adam Carolla, “I want to go to 68 [albums]. Because I think if I go to 68, I’ll hold the record. I’ll beat Elvis [Presely]. So that’s my goal.”

I have a feeling as long as we have Puppy Love for him, the Soldier of Love will soldier through and keep releasing new music for as long as he lives.

And the way he is going, he will probably wind up releasing over 168 albums. Although, I would stop at 69 because, like Peter Pan, I won’t grow up.

Ever since 1970, Donny Osmond and his brothers, The Osmonds, have been singing, “One bad apple don’t spoil the whole bunch, girl.” And we believed him.

There is only one problem. According to science, it does.

So 53 years later, Donny has a message for his fans on social media. “This is a very difficult post for me to make,” he said. “I would like to apologize to everyone I have misled. I’ve been teaching a lie since 1970, and I am so sorry. Science has proven me wrong.”

How has science proved him wrong? One rotten apple will cause the other apples to ripen quicker. So one bad apple does spoil the bunch.

Do you accept his apology? How can we not? Because we will always have puppy love for him and his purple socks. And it is not like that is the only song that has lied to us. The Vapors never turned Japanese. The Summer of ’69 was not about the year. And so on.

Back in the ’90s, Michael Damian played the lead in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat on Broadway, and Donny Osmond played the role on other stages and in a direct-to-video version of it. Unfortunately, we never saw the two Josephs together.

Well, that has changed. Because yesterday the Rock On singer showed his puppy love towards Osmond when he went to see his friend who was performing in Vegas at Harrah’s. And now I am going to have a wet dream.

I hope that someone shows this photo to Andrew Lloyd Webber, and the playwright is so inspired by it that he writes a musical about dueling Joseph in their Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoats. I know it wasn’t in the bible. But other people make up stuff from that book all the time.

When it comes to who is my favorite, Joseph, all I will say is I saw Damian do it twice on Broadway!
