Last week, we were all surprised that Sean Giambrone, who plays Adam, voice changed over the summer hiatus.
Tonight at 8:30p on ABC, the show addresses his time to change in their own yummy way. He has zits, he is starting to smell, he is attracted to women differently and his voice is a lot deeper. For the most part that doesn’t affect him, that is until he auditions for a part in the school play A Chorus Line. The director isn’t happy with the crop of kids she got, so she decides to finally bump up Adam from the chorus to the lead. He doesn’t want the role because he hates the way that his voice sounds now. Leave it up to his sMother (Wendi McLendon-Covey) to come up with a way to make it work for him and the play. She has him do a Milli Vanilli, as in lip sync.
While that’s Adam’s problem, his brother, Barry (Troy Gentile), is preparing for the school dance with his JTP buddies. Barry is taking Lainey (AJ Michalka), but who is Erica’s (Hayley Orrantia) date? She is so picky, she doesn’t have one to go with. Barry’s friend Geoff (Sam Lerner) tries to win her over, but she ignores him. Will she eventually give in to this gleaming cube?
You just have to tune in for another scrumptious episode of the show that takes place during ’80something.
Jeff Garlin was on Conan yesterday and he told the TBS late night host about his first son’s circumcision.
Shortly after Garlin moved to Los Angeles, his first son was born. Since he is Jewish, they had a Bris for his heir. When the Mohel was done, he gave the star of The Goldbergs his son’s foreskin wrapped in foil and told him to bury it somewhere special for good luck.
Since Garlin was new to LA, he didn’t know where to go. Then he decided to go to Disneyland and do it there. He wanted to make it special, so he was going to eat all of the food in the “crappy lands” and then go throw that little piece of his son off at the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. That was his plan and plans don’t always go as planned.
As he walked around the park alone and eating, people were looking at him funny. At that point, he felt he needed to get out of Fantasyland and go home. So he looked over, saw Sleeping Beauty’s Castle, picked up a rock, attached the foil pouch to it and threw it. Maybe one day his son will date a woman, who is put into a deep sleep by an evil witch, and he will kiss her to wake her up. What else could happen to a boy whose foreskin was thrown towards the castle of one of Disney’s Princesses?
Garlin has another son and yesterday he revealed to everyone what he did with that foreskin. No, it is not as Disneyland with his brother’s. Instead, it is at the fountain in The Grove shopping center. I feel bad for the person who went looking for quarters and found Garlin’s son’s foreskin instead. Talk about bad luck, but then again if you are taking quarters out of a fountain, you are pretty much screwed.
I wonder what his kids are going to get him for father’s day, now that they know where daddy got rid of their foreskins?

Before Wendi McLendon-Covey was an extraordinary matchmaker on The Goldbergs, she was one for hire on Lovespring International. She looks the same now as she did when she was 36 in that 2006 episode.
Tonight at 8:30p, The Goldbergs is airing its second Thanksgiving episode and in honor of that they came up with some yummy posters to celebrate it. We might be eight days away from celebrating Turkey Day, but these pictures have already put me in the mood and I am stuffed with happiness.
But there is always room for dessert, so loosen your pants for the Thanksgiving episodes of The Middle, The Goldbergs, Modern Family and Black-ish tonight on ABC starting at 8p.

The summer is over and Adam is still thinking about his first kiss with Dana at the end of the school year. She has been away for the last few months, so he wants to show her how me he missed her. Back in the 80something, you did that by making a mix tape, so he made her one with songs from Chicago, INXS and Weird Al Yankovic. Only problem is that his sMother found it and Beverly (Wendi McLendon-Covey) thinks it was for her. When she starts showing him special attention, he doesn’t want to tell her it wasn’t for her.
Adam was able to get the tape back and give it to Dana. That night they go out on their first dateish, and everything is going great in large part because of that tape. But then, you know there had to be one, his mom comes to pick him up. I think you can guess what happens next, she plays her mixed tape, which is also Dana’s, and now he has some explaining to do. How is he going to get himself out of this one?
Then Erica (Hayley Orrantia) gets a fake ID and Barry (Troy Gentile) finds it. Now he wants one too. She wisely doesn’t think he can handle it, but he finds a way to blackmail her into getting him one. So off they go to the photo store where a creepy guy in a vest (David Spade) makes him one. Now he can’t stop bragging to his fellow classmates how he got one. When the Seniors hear about it, they ask him to get them some beer for their party that night. If he does, then he gets to go. Only problem is, his fake ID was confiscated. What will he do?
I am not going to tell you how it ends, but you know that it will end in a manner that only The Goldbergs can make it happen. Someone how the show with the biggest heart from last year, found a way to add even more of it to this year. It’s mushy, it’s sweet, and it’s why we love The Goldbergs.
I didn’t realized how much I missed this sitcom until the I watched the season premiere, and then I was complete again. You will understand what I mean when you watch it on its new night at it new time tonight at 8:30p. It is everything you have been waiting for and so much more.
