Just like CBS, The CW changed up its schedule and I am not happy about it. I think it is BS that they moved Supernatural, which has consistently done good for them, and moved it to the Friday death slot. Case in point Smallville will be ending its run next season. I don’t know why I am complaining to much about their schedule because of the moves, I am going to have to give up a lot of their programming because it is clashing with other shows I am already DVRing. I am sure I am not the only who will be eliminating shows from their viewing habits because of the moves. I just don’t get why both CBS and The CW changed up their lineups so much because I really believe if it isn’t broke don’t fix it.

CBS cancels most of its bubble shows, while The CW doesn’t
May 18th, 2010 under CBS, The CW. [ Comments: 1 ]

It was a massacre over at CBS because they cancelled Ghost Whisperer, Gary Unmarried, Accidentally on Purpose, New Adventures of Old Christine, Cold Case, Numb3rs and Miami Medical, but they did renew Medium and Rules of Engagement according to The Live Feed. I don’t get why they cancelled Ghost Whisperer because I thought it was still doing well in the ratings. Maybe it was getting too expensive and they need a lot more money than they did yesterday in order to pay Charlie Sheen. On that note, I had a feeling the sitcoms were going to get the ax when Charlie agreed to stay with Two and a Half Men and they had picked up two new sitcoms yesterday. They needed to make room for the new ones, but that doesn’t mean I am OK with it. I really liked Gary and Accidentally. I didn’t watch Old Christine, but now that Modern Family and Glee are on the air I doubt that Julia Louis-Dreyfus was going to get her annual Emmy nom. When it comes to Cold Case, about freaking time. Numb3rs and Miami Medicine are not surprises. BTW did I mention how pissed I am that Ghost Whisperer got cancelled? Although the show lost its way when it killed Jim and then brought him back, it was still a great show. When it comes to Medium, I hope it finds its way again next season because it hasn’t been nearly as good on CBS as it was on NBC. And what does David Spade on the CBS execs because that is the only explanation I can come up with they renewed the show. It is there new Yes, Dear.
Now the news was better over at The CW because they picked up both One Tree Hill and Life Unexpected according to The Live Feed. There were rumors only one was coming back next season, but that is no longer the case because both of them will be back.

Scream like a girl because The CW renews Supernatural and more!
February 16th, 2010 under The CW. [ Comments: 1 ]

The CW has picked up Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl, 90210, and America’s Next Top Model for next season! I am so excited that Supernatural will be back for a 6th season that I am screaming like Dean in that video, I am sure Jensen Ackles also recreated that scream when he heard the news! I am happy that Vampire Diaries will be back to suck on more blood, but was there any doubt. When it comes to Gossip Girl and 90210 I am half a$$ watching both shows now, but their renewals come as no surprise. Now on to America’s Next Top Model it will be interesting to see if Tyra Banks will return because afterall she quit her talk show; who is to say she won’t do the same with ANTM?
Still waiting to be picked up are Smallville, One Tree Hill, Melrose Place and Life Unexpected. When it comes to the first two shows it will be interesting to see if the long running shows will be saying goodbye or given another season because every year they get more and more expensive to produce. Unless Melrose does a ratings rebound when it comes back next month, I doubt it will be back. Finally I think Life Unexpected will be back, it just the question of when.

UPDATE: The amazing publicist, who works on Supernatural at The CW, told me that Executive Producer Eric Kripke is not leaving the show and will be back for the show’s 6th season in the fall!!!

Expect Life UneXpected to be your latest addiction
January 18th, 2010 under The CW. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight on The CW at 9p the sweetest new show of the season Life Unexpected is going to premiere and you are not going to want to miss it. The show is about Lux, who has spent her whole life in foster care and now that she is almost 16 she wants to file for emancipation from the system. In order to do so she has to find her birth parents to file the paperwork, but she finds out so much more when she finds them. First she meets her dad, Baze who owns a bar that she bonds with and then he takes her to meet her mom, Cate Cassidy. Cate is popular morning radio host who hasn’t told anyone that she had a kid in high school that she gave up for adoption including her co-host who just proposed to her. When her parents go with her to court the judge makes a ruling that will change all of their lives, she orders Lux to live with her birth parents. The three of them adjust to their new life together and along the way Lux will meet her grandparents and her parents will adjust to their new roles and each other.
Lux is a well written show by Liz Tigelaar. This is the first show that Liz has created that has made it to air and it won’t be her last. She really has a knack for good TV, so get to see how much so tonight at 9p on The CW!

The Vampire Diaries is a show you can sink your teeth into!
January 9th, 2010 under The CW. [ Comments: none ]

The Vampire Diaries was the surprise hit of the fall for the The CW. It was the little show that debuted big and only got bigger. Today the cast and producers flew out from Atlanta to talk to the press at The CW’s The Critics Association Winter Press Tour Day.

Don’t believe everything you read on IMDB, the synopsis for the next episode is made up!

Ian Somerhalder thanks Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec for his role on TVD. He says he is having a blast doing this role.

Vicki is dead dead. Her family will deal with her death and maybe find out how she died. (I wonder what that means?)

Damon and Elana’s relationship will evolve because Stefan will not be there.

Paul Wesley is tough on himself when he gets something wrong, but in a cute way. Something we will hopefully see in the blooper reel!

Kevin Williamson says that this is the best looking show he has done as in the look of the show and not just the cast. They will stay in Atlanta if the show gets picked up for a second season because there budget is lower there. Atlanta let’s them do more for less.

Paul Wesley says when they are not working he is doing press and if he isn’t doing press he is talking Nina and Ian about work and he doesn’t have a problem with that.

Katherine not Elena will be kissing Damon in a upcoming episode. (Nina has a tough job.)

Ian and Paul wear the same clothes in their daily lives and it is by pure accident. On today’s panel they both are wearing a black suit with white button shirts. They looked like real life brothers and not two guys playing one on TV.

We will see why Damon and Stefan do not get along. (I can’t wait to see what will happen)

Stefan is going to do something that Damon is going to need to him help with. (I wonder what that means.)

The Vampire Diaries will be back next Thursday at 8p on The CW and we will get to understand more of what they previewed and I can’t wait to watch it all go down. This show gets better and better with watch episode and there have been times where I have sat on the edge of my seat wanting to know what happens next and what does happen is better than I ever thought. So check out the best new drama of the season…at least according to the Peoples Choice Awards and we know what we are talking about!
