The Bad-Ass Boys of The CW are more than just that!
January 13th, 2012 under The CW. [ Comments: none ]

Yesterday at the The CW TCA Press Tour Day they brought out some of their most Bad-Ass actors to talk to the press and we learned that they are always what they play. Kris Polaha (Ringer), Wilson Bethel (Hart of Dixie), Jared Padalecki (Supernatural), Ed Westwick (Gossip Girl), Joseph Morgan (The Vampire Diaries) and Shane West (Nikita) all proved to us that they are Bad-Ass on TV, but I know for one struggled with them in-person personas being that too and not that is not a bad thing.

Kris Polaha wasn’t fully convinced he was Bad-Ass, but he thinks that show Ringer is totally that. He told us, “Ringer seems like one of those shows that it almost demands you to watch it live because there’s so many little twists and turns that, if you miss it, you kind of fall behind. So it was just fun to be a part of that.” But when he is not working on the show he is home being a good dad to his millions of kids. At least that is how many Padalecki says that he has.

Wilson Bethel was declared the most Bad-Ass guy of the bunch because in every episode he takes off his shirt and shows us how he watches his shirts on washboard abs. OK I added the last part, but you know I just thought that was a poetic way of describing it. And did you know that he writes poetry? Since he didn’t want to ruin his Bad-Ass cred, he shared with us how he does it, “I only write poetry while I’m riding my motorcycle.” He get to keep the title, don’t you agree?

Jared Padalecki told us he enjoyed playing a soulless and emotionless Sam Winchester on Supernatural, but there is something that he has a lot of heart and soul about. The Supernatural actor has something very natural happening to him in a little over a month, he is going to be a dad. He described to us how he feels about it by saying, “I’m very excited. I hope it doesn’t bleed over into my work because I have a boyish excitement about it. I’m almost worried I was just mentioning it earlier. I’m almost worried about how excited I am. I feel like I should be nervous because I’m bringing a life that I’m going to be half responsible for sometime in March. But I’m just so kind of chomping at the bits to get my hands in there and raise a child that I right now I’m just like an excited little boy.” Yeah if you weren’t in love with him before that quote, I am sure you are now.

Joseph Morgan shared what he likes about playing the Bad-Ass Klaus on The Vampire Diaries, he said “Yeah, no, for me it’s the sociopathic nature of the character, for sure, the idea that you can be in a room with him and you never know what he’s going to do. I said it before, he could kiss you or kill you, and it’s all the same to him. There’s no clear line. It’s all completely blurred. So it all means the same. That’s really where the danger comes from. That’s the interesting thing for me as an actor playing that, is from one moment to the next he can completely switch moods and emotions and not be aware that he’s done it or not be aware that that is anything abnormal, you know. That’s really the part that fascinates me.” And someone who fascinates him as a Bad-Ass is Gordon Ramsey. Once he openly admitted to that all the other boys on the panel revoked his Bad-Ass card.

Shane West feels that his show Nikita is more Bad-Ass than him as he told us, “Well, Nikita is based around that. I mean, the entire show is bad ass basically. It’s based off of that action, that being able to fire the guns, being able to I’m not going to be adding up all the bad asses, by the way. No more bad asses, I swear. The guns, the cars, the action, the stunts. It’s like, you know, being a kid again. Bad ass.”

You can watch each on of these Bad-Asses every week on The CW. Mondays at 8p you have Ed Westwick on Gossip Girl and then at 9p you get to see a shirtless Wilson Bethel on Hart of Dixie. Then on Tuesdays at 9p Kris Polaha keeps his shirt on in Ringer. Thursday nights we sink our teeth into Joseph Morgan in The Vampire Diaries at 8p. We end the week with Shane West kicking it at 8p on Nikita followed by Jared Padalecki doing what he does best on Supernatural at 9p. So you don’t have to be one of them to be a Bad-Ass, you just have to watch them to get that title.

Nina Dobrev travels in style
January 12th, 2012 under Nina Dobrev, The CW. [ Comments: none ]

Nina Dobrev films The Vampires Diaries in Atlanta, so since she was up for a People’s Choice Award she was flown to LA to attend the event. Luckily the network got it’s money’s worth because the people like, they really really like so much so that she won the award she was nominated for. But instead of celebrating with the other winners, she had to make a mad dash to the airport and almost didn’t make it. As she Tweeted with the above picture, “Close call, Was so rushed to the airport… Didn’t have time to change out of my dress!” I am sure no on the plane had an issue with her make the friendly skies, even friendlier in that gorgeous green dress.
The actress who plays two roles on one show is not only beautiful on the outside, she is just as beautiful on the inside. Here is what she Tweeted once she was settled in on her flight home, “Okay, so I was so flustered and nervous when I won the award, that I missed a few major things I wanted to say. First off, I didn’t get to Thank my mom. So, Thank you mama! AND – to everyone who voted for me, you got me to the PCA’s. Your votes got me this award. Your voices are So unbelievably powerful. You can make things happen. You made this happen. Can you imagine what else you could do? Go go out and do it! Again thank you, so so so so much. I’ve always wanted a Peoples Choice Award, thank you for making my dream come true.” I love how humble how she is and the honor was so well deserved.
BTW she isn’t the only one from VD that has had to travel back to Atlanta in their Awards clothes, her boyfriend Ian Somerhalder did the same after the Emmys.

Remember to breath after watcing tonight’s The Vampire Diaries and The Secret Circle!
January 5th, 2012 under The CW. [ Comments: none ]

Starting at 8P The Vampire Diaries and The Secret Circle are back on The CW and they are so good they will take your breath away.
At first I thought that tonight’s episode of The Vampire Diaries was all about a new tough Jeremy, but something that happens as the end will have you gasping for air.
Once you think that your respiration is back, you will start to lose your breath again due to a powerful episode of The Secret Circle. Charles’ mother (Stepfanie Kramer) is back in town and she is such a tough witch that she is the reason why we say the b word rhymes with witch. She can sense who is using their magic and how they are using it, and she knows that her son and Dawn have been up to no good. She also knows about Cassie’s Dark Magic lineage and does something that will change everything. What happens will once again having you gasping for air.
Britt Robertson is spellbinding in this episode as we see her struggling with her dark and light sides. Kramer is a nice addition to the show and I hope she is staying around for a while. Especially since her presence finally helps her son Charles (Gale Harold) grow his much needed pair.
I wish I could tell you more about both episodes, but I was told if I did a bad spell would be put on me. So you will have to tune in to find out more and remeber to breath!

The Secret Circle will have you in a trance until it returns next year!
November 10th, 2011 under The CW. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 9p on The CW it is the winter season finale of The Secret Circle and you are not going to want to miss the game changing episode that will leave you wanting to know what happens next until the New Year.
We know that Cassie has Dark Magic in her family tree and tonight we find out just how far it goes back. Let’s just say the Witch Hunters want her badly and they are willing to do anything to get her to the council who have requested she be brought to them immediately. Which side of Nick’s lineage will he follow when it comes to her, his witch side or his Witch Hunters’ one. Tune in to see if Cassie will still be with the circle returns in January or will she be with the Witch Hunters?
Cassie isn’t the only Blake that is having a life-threatening problem, her grandmother is suffering the consequences from the spell that Charles and Diana put on her at the end of last week’s episode. They wiped away her memory from that night, and a whole lot more.
And because of their screw up they will be getting a visit from another elder. Gale Harold talked about this visitor yesterday at a screening for tonight’s show and said, “Dear old mom.” He adds, “Charles’ mother got some issues to resolve or to start so she can resolve them later.” And will it be loving between them? He shares “We’ll slap each around for :35 seconds and then she is going to leave” So who is this lucky woman who gets to slap around Gale for half a minute, it will be Hunter’s Stepfanie Kramer.
Now that we know another elder will be coming on the show next year, what about the council we keep hearing about? Executive Producer Andrew Miller said we will learn “a lot” about the council “over time”. He added, “There’s lot to learn about this council. We started with Isaac and he has become an interesting character for us, but he’s one of many and the history of the council will surprise us and goes back longer than anyone thinks right now.”
And talking about going back in time, what about flashbacks to the night that took away so much from everyone. As Miller pointed out it isn’t as easy to do as The Vampire Diaries, so should we rule it out? He shared with us what we will see, “We do need to delve into this backstory and we are exploring ways to experience that past in what I think are really, really, exciting, interesting ways in the very near future. By that I mean 2013.” He was joking because he then elaborated with, “But pretty soon on the heels of the New Year we’ll start to see more of the past then we have thus far”
So will everyone be around when those flashbacks happen? I had to know if there will be other deaths on the show like Nick’s and he said, “There are consequences and people die. They are messing with things that are dark and dangerous and it’s not just fun and games. And while there needs to be a wish fulfillment component to witchcraft, there are also heavy consequences. When you start playing around with this stuff, you are going to get burned…Yeah, there are deaths coming.” Who? We don’t know, but I did learn that asking if Charles would be one of them while Gale Harold was in the room might not have been the smartest move on my part.
But what has been a smart move on my part is watching The Secret Circle every Thursday night on The CW at 9p because this show gets better with each episode. And unlike other shows they actually answer questions, as they ask new ones and you don’t feel confused.
So tune in to the winter season finale to see what will be that thing that will have you in a trance until the show returns on January 5th.

Gale Harold suits up for The Secret Circle!
November 4th, 2011 under The CW. [ Comments: none ]

Next Thursday’s episode of The Secret Circle on The CW at 9p is the last new one for 2011 and it looks like Gale Harold is dressing up for the affair! Actually I am not sure why he put on a black suit, but does it really matter because he looks as good as the show is too watch.
BTW I so hate that we have to wait until January 5th to find out what happens next on the best new supernatural show of the season. Maybe I will try to cast a spell so we won’t have to wait that long, but sadly I don’t know anyone in my circle to make my powers stronger.
