After two decades of wowing football fans all over the world, David Beckham announced he is retiring at the end of the season. So now that he is no longer playing football aka soccer here in The States (which he made huge here when he played for the LA Galaxy), I am assuming he can just stay home and sit on the couch in just underwear. I am sure he has plenty of them to lounge around in.
BTW I wonder if his Golden Balls will be bronzed now.
Here is the statement he posted on Facebook today about his retirement.
I’m thankful to PSG for giving me the opportunity to continue but I feel now is the right time to finish my career, playing at the highest level. If you had told me as a young boy I would have played for and won trophies with my boyhood club Manchester United, proudly captained and played for my country over one hundred times and lined up for some of the biggest clubs in the world, I would have told you it was a fantasy. I’m fortunate to have realised those dreams.
To this day, one of my proudest achievements is captaining my country. I knew every time I wore the Three Lions shirt, I was not only following in a long line of great players, I was also representing every fan that cared passionately about their country. I’m honoured to represent England both on and off the pitch.
I wouldn’t have achieved what I have done today without my family. I’m grateful for my parents’ sacrifice, which made me realise my dreams. I owe everything to Victoria and the kids, who have given me the inspiration and support to play at the highest level for such a long period. I also want to thank Simon Fuller and his team for their continued support.
I want to thank all my team-mates, the great managers that I had the pleasure of learning from. I also want to thank the fans who have all supported me and given me the strength to succeed.
Nothing will ever completely replace playing the game I love, however I feel like I’m starting a new adventure and I’m genuinely excited about what lies ahead. I’m fortunate to have been given many opportunities throughout my career and now I feel it’s my time to give back.
David Beckham took his wife Victoria to a Lakers game and the happily married couple were caught by the kissing cam. Even though they have been married for 12 years and have 4 kids, they showed they are not too Posh to show some PDA. Actually the Spice Girl looked a little embarrassed, but she handled like a pro.
Seriously how cute was it to see one the world’s most famous couples doing what all couples do.
Victoria Beckham was photographed holding Eva Longoria‘s chest and I have to wonder if the two women have something to tell us? Sadly nope because here is how the Desperate Housewife explained it on Twitter, “My beautiful girl @victoriabeckham supporting me @vanityfair” Oh well, David Beckham will have to have a different fantasy for the time being.

Harper Seven Beckham is just six months old and she already knows how to work the cameras just like her mom Victoria Beckham. Another thing she is getting from her mother, is her good fashion sense. What a lucky little girl!

Victoria Beckham gave birth to her first daughter Harper Seven on July 10th and Posh Spice already has her slender figure back. Personally I think she might even look even more slender than she was before she got pregnant. I know she has always been thin, but she just seems thinner than we are used to.
