A week ago, Taylor Momsen was bitten by a spider in Mexico while on tour with AC/DC. Since she believes the show must go on, they brought in a doctor to give her a shot to counteract the venom, and all seemed fine.
However, the redness on her calf started at the bite, and it has now spread all over her lower leg. Therefore, they took her to the hospital yesterday to make sure everything is OK and to control the spread.
You would think after that hospitalization that The Pretty Reckless singer would call it a day and go home to get better. But not her. She is vowing to play Mexico City with her band tonight.
They don’t make many Rockers like her. So even though she has been bitten by a bat and a spider, she is not Batgirl or Spider-Woman; instead, she is Supergirl because nothing seems to be her Kryptonite. Get well soon! XOXO
BTW, you know if this happened to her Gossip Girl co-star, Blake Lively, she would sue the spider for sexual harassment.
In May 2024, Taylor Momsen was bitten by a bat while performing with her band, Pretty Reckless, during their tour with AC/DC.
Now, almost two years later, she is back on the road with her band and the Classic Rockers in Mexico, and once again, something thought she looked good enough to eat. This time, a spider bit the Grinch actress, and the venom did a number on her system.
So, they called in a doctor, who gave her a shot before she took the stage. I know they say the show must go on. But if a spider tried to kill me, I would have taken the night off.
I mean, you have to let the venom do its magic on you so that you can become Spider-Woman. However, she didn’t turn into Bat “the Gossip” Girl when he gave her a hickey. Maybe a bite is just a bite, and it doesn’t turn you into a superhero like it does in the comic books.
If I were Momsen, I would not do another tour with AC/DC because with her luck, the next bite could be the charm she doesn’t want. I mean she could get bit by a scorpion or a snake.
Talking about snakes. She thought working with Blake Lively was the scariest thing she would ever have to deal with on the job. Just joking! It was too easy not to go there.
Back to Taylor. I sincerely respect her for going out there and performing because most musicians would have gone home and left the fans disappointed.
Last week was an eventful one for Taylor Momsen. While playing at an outdoor venue in Spain with Pretty Reckless, a bat decided he wanted to crash her show. And the Vampire got the best seat in the house.
“So…ROCK AND ROLL MOMENT…in Sevilla Wednesday during ‘Witches Burn’ of all songs… a BAT flew onto me and clung to my leg…in the moment I was performing and had no idea until the incredible crowd kept screaming and pointing…he was cute, but yes he bit me,” the singer wrote. “So rabies shots for the next two weeks thanks to all the staff at the hospital who dubbed me #batgirl after seeing it on the local news that morning…more footage to come…that’s one for the books!!!! @acdc #pwrup #BATGIRL”
She already received her first shots and said, “rabies shots are NOT fun .”
Where is Ozzy Osbourne when you need him? And she should add Meat Loaf’s Bat Out of Hell to the band’s setlist.
Ever since Taylor Momsen was single digits she has been acting, and now the 18 year old says she is done with that. When Elle asked her if she had any acting projects in the works, she said “I quit acting, actually. I quit Gossip Girl and now tour and am in a band and that’s pretty much all I want to do. Hopefully I’ll be able to only do that for the rest of my life.” Considering how well The Pretty Reckless is doing, I think that she made a pretty reckless decision. Not that I will miss her, but it seems she would have a much more lucrative career acting. But that is just my assumption.

Before Taylor Momsen liked to shake it on the stage and look baked, she was showing how the right way to do it for Shake ‘N Bake. It’s amazing that that awwwdorable little 3 year old from that 1997 commercial grew up into the Gossip Girl we know now.
