"American Pie" actress Tara Reid is attached to star in the indie romantic comedy "Honestly." British actor Vinnie Jones ("X-Men: The Last Stand") and former NFL running back Eddie George ("Into the Sun") also are attached to co-star in the film. Reid will play a hard-boiled private eye who works as a temptress to test the fidelity of philandering husbands. Then she meets her ultimate job challenge: Instead of entrapping her latest prey, she falls for a man who couldn’t possibly be as nice as he seems. Reid’s brother Tommy, who directed the actress in the upcoming bowling comedy "7-10 Split," is set to take the helm. Shooting on the privately financed film is scheduled to start in the summer in Los Angeles.

AMERICAN actress Tara Reid today described swimming with the dolphins on the Gold Coast as "one of the most magical moments of my life". The star of the American Pie films made the customary trip to Sea World today to swim with dolphins Gemma and Nila after keeping a huge media contingent waiting as she arrived fashionably late. "It was unbelievable," she said afterwards. "It was one of the most magical moments of my life. I think this is my favourite experience, it’s amazing. "It’s so funny because in America everyone has dreams of what they want to do. That’s one of the things I’ve always wanted to do in my life and never accomplished and I just did now. I’m on a tour high." Reid has been brought to the Gold Coast by businessman Gerry Harvey and advertising guru John Singleton to add some glitz to this week’s Magic Millions racing carnival. Reid, who arrived on the Gold Coast yesterday following a 33-hour flight from South America where she was holidaying. Reid, who wore a size six Katie Moubarak bikini under her life-vest, is seemingly in love with Australia. "I love the Gold Coast, it’s amazing," said Reid. "I love Australia. The people are amazing and I love Australians, they’re a lot of fun and just really good people."

Australia’s fascination with blonde American starlets continues on Wednesday when party girl Tara Reid arrives to add some glitz to the Gold Coast’s Magic Millions carnival. The 31-year-old actress, most noted for her roles in the American Pie movies and a botched breast augmentation, flies in to attend the Magic Millions yearling sales and racing carnival. She follows hot on the stilettos of socialite Paris Hilton, who was brought to Australia last week by advertising guru John Singleton to promote the Sydney launch of his Bondi Blonde beer venture. Reid will land in Brisbane on Wednesday morning after travelling from South America, and she’ll be flown to her Gold Coast hotel by former world motorcycle champion Mick Doohan. She’s scheduled to attend a Magic Millions function at the Conrad Jupiters Hotel and Casino on Wednesday night. She’ll be escorted at times by rugby league players, including Brisbane Broncos internationals Karmichael Hunt and Justin Hodges. There’s also a customary celebrity splash with dolphins scheduled at Gold Coast theme park Sea World. Magic Millions chairman and high profile businessman Gerry Harvey said Reid would help make the event a world hotspot, even though her star had dimmed in recent years. But he’s aiming for bigger fish next year, hoping to entice Cameron Diaz – a higher profile blonde Hollywood star – to the Magic Millions. After attending Saturday’s Magic Millions raceday, Reid flies out of Brisbane the following day.
