According to Broadcasting & Cable NBC is threatening to lay-off non-writing staff of The Tonight Show and Late Night with Conan O'Brien if the shows don't start up again on Monday because of the strike. NBC is also saying they are willing to use guest hosts for the shows if Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien choose not to cross the line. Whoever does the cross the line could face the same fate that Ellen Degeneres is facing with the WGA boycotting her for crossing the line. It is a tough decision that the hosts have to decide who that want to back the striking writers or nonwriting staff. A decision Johnny Carson made in 1988.
“We want to protect the staff, who have been loyal to this show for decades, in the same way that Johnny Carson reluctantly returned without his writers in 1988,” Debbie Vickers said.
David Letterman will remain in repeats next week, while there is no word whether or not Jimmy Kimmel will go on or continue driving a taco truck to the different striking locations!
Remember Iggy who was adopted by Ellen Degeneres from a Rescue agency, but when he didn't get along with her cats she gave him to her makeup artist. Then when the rescue agency Mutts and Moms found out she gave away the dog, they went and took the dog the back. Ellen was so devastated over Mutts & Moms actions that she broke down on her show and begged them to give the back, but it would be too late because Iggy was given away to another family. Up until now barely anyone knew what happened to Iggy, that is until someone threw Entertainment Tonight a bone and they found him. I can't wait to see what Iggy tells ET starting on Monday!!! You know it is going to be a real woofer!
According to an ABC spokesperson, Jimmy Kimmel Live! is a pre-scheduled (hysterical) repeat tonight with Sandra Oh, Albert Reed (the second person voted off of DWTS) and Mark Ronson. But as of tomorrow Jimmy Kimmel and the show will be taking it day by day. Hopefully it will be more like Live with Regis and Kelly and The View and air new episodes and not be like The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with David Letterman and Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson that will be airing repeats during this week.
Let's hope this strike ends soon because these are the first of many shows that will be effected by the strike.
UPDATE: Jimmy Kimmel Live! will be in repeats too…:(
You know the one that says BITCH. How can she ask the other girls to wear one and not wear one herself. Seriously when she is going to stop doing stupid stunts for November sweeps and making her shows all about her. She is all about herself and I don't care to be her so why would we watch?
