Warner Bros is set to destroy, I mean remake, the movie Teen Wolf according to Movie Hole. At this point the movie is still in the early stages as in they don’t have a writer, director or cast and let’s hope it stays that way! The first movie with Michael J Fox back in 1985 was great and cheesey the way it was and it should be left alone. Even the sequel Teen Wolf Too was campy cheese with Jason Bateman. If Warner Bros wants to do something why not do a sequel like Teen Wolf: Third Time Is the Charm that goes straight-to-DVD? Now that I would rent that!
Normally I hate hate hate remakes. but after seeing the full trailer for Fame I can’t wait to see it. There is something about it that just looks so good and campy that it will introduce a whole new generation to Fame…and the old one too!
So dance your way to movie theaters on September 25th to see Fame!
Robert Rodriguez is currently writing a draft for a live-action movie of The Jetsons according to Empire Magazine. And all I have to say is I really hope it stays as a draft because Planet Terror was one of the worst pieces of sh!t I have ever seen. It was so bad, I only got 20 minutes in and I had to shut it off and I can tolerate most crap. Seriously this movie has to go the same way his planned remake for Barbarella went and that was no where!
I even bet you Rodriguez, who loves to hire his fiancee Rose McGowan in everything he does because it is the only work she can get, will cast her as Judy Jetson.
Simon Cowell is going to the movies! The open-shirted John Travolta wannabe Judge and reality show mogul is thisclose to getting the rights to remake Saturday Night Fever according to The Sun.
A source said: “Simon has been looking into buying the rights for years and opened discussions with Robert about the remake.
“The charm offensive has been in full swing and they made a breakthrough over the last couple of weeks.
“Robert was keen to get some assurances the original wouldn’t be completely butchered before he agreed to the deal.
“Simon has been drawing up a list of people he wants to get involved. When that meets Robert’s expectations, the contracts will be signed.”
One of the the names that they are tossing around to play Tony Manero is Zac Efron, but I think he would be a poor choice because he is not manly enough for the role.
I don’t know why, but I am OK with this remake just because Simon Cowell is the one behind it. Seriously can’t you see him watching this movie religiously and so wanting to be Tony Manero so much so he would go out in public donning that polyester look? Oh wait he still kind of dresses like Tony…
Yet another ’80s film is being rebooted, and this time it will be Short Circuit according to Variety.
The original was about an armed robot that acquired a personality after a lightning strike, and sought the help of humans to prevent its destruction by its makers in the military.
“We’re bringing Number 5 into the 21st Century and taking advantage of the improvements in robotics that are so massive that robots are now performing heart surgeries in hospitals,” David Foster, the producer of the original and the remake, said.
It sounds like it could work, but I still wish if they were going to change it up that they wouldn’t say it is a remake and just give the movie a title.
BTW they hired the Dan Milano, who worked on Robot Chicken and Greg the Bunny to write the script, maybe I take back what I said about the movie could actually work.
