Harrison Ford tells Chewbacca, “Daniel Craig is my Wookie bitch now!”
July 28th, 2011 under Jimmy Kimmel, Star Wars. [ Comments: none ]

Yesterday on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Harrison Ford was confronted by an old friend and from the looks of it Han Solo and Chewbacca had a major falling out over some hairballs. Indiana Jones had some harsh words for his now nemesis as he scolded his hairy rival by screaming “I’m done with that Star Wars crap. And I’m done with you!” He then insisted that he get out and he never wants to see him again.
When George Lucas came up with the name Star Wars 35 years ago, I don’t think this is what he meant but it was it is. Hopefully it won’t get any worse, by the Wookie getting it on with the Cowboy and Indians star’s new wife Calista Flockhart as revenge on former-comrade. I don’t even want to know what Han Solo will do to him? Shave off Chewbacca’s furry mane with a Lightsaber? Talk about the first cut is the deepest.

via Huffington Post
Star Wars is finally coming out on BluRay this fall and one of the special features are deleted scenes from the saga. Yesterday at San Diego Comic Com they debuted a teaser reel of what we can expect. As one of those people who was never really in to Star Wars, that sizzle reel didn’t wow me. But for all of you people who camped out for tickets, enjoy!

BTWF ads: Mark Hamill for Kodak
March 29th, 2011 under Before They Were Famous, Star Wars. [ Comments: none ]

Before Mark Hamill used the force with a lightsaber, he used it with a Kodak camera. How cute was the 22 year old actor in that 1974 commercial?

So I know this video is old, but my friend Rick just posted it on his Facebook today and it is the first time I have seen it. As soon I as started watching it, I knew I had to share with all of you because it is so wrong, and yet it is so funny. You will never be able to watch Star Wars the same way ever again.

Carrie Fisher’s letter to Young Hollywood!
December 29th, 2010 under Star Wars. [ Comments: none ]

Carrie Fisher was an international super star by the time before she was 22, so if anyone knows the stake it takes on Young Hollywood it is her. So Princess Leia wrote a letter to the likes of Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Miley Cyrus and so on in Black Book (via Canoe! Jam) and I hope they read it.

(Lindsay’s) a mess. She should back out of the whole scene and move to the f**king south of France.

Life in the spotlight can be cruel. It sets you apart from other people, so that life becomes more about what you are than who you are. That’s what happened to me. It’s a privileged job, which is why everyone wants it, but it used to mean you earned those privileges based on talent. Now you can become famous for being a spectacle…

Acquiring celebrity can be an exciting thing, but there never comes a time, once you have it, when you can relax and say, ’Okay, I’m famous now. Isn’t this great?’ Fame is something you have to maintain, like a weird garden… Don’t imagine that Julia Roberts is just kicking back in her house with her kids.

My advice to Young Hollywood? If you’re an actor, learn another skill. Write a book or play an instrument – at the very least, learn to manage your own finances… I wish I’d known all of this earlier, and I wish I’d paid more attention to my life as it was going by.

I hope that not only is Young Hollywood reading this, but so are their parents.
