An Oscar winner, a Razzie winner and Jeff Goldblum try out for Hans Solo
July 24th, 2016 under Conan O'Brien, Star Wars. [ Comments: none ]

The Young Hans Solo role is one of the most coveted roles in Hollywood. Now that we know that Alden Enrehreich got the part, we can see the auditions from the people who didn’t get it. Since Conan O’Brien was doing his show from San Diego Comic Con, he got his hands on those auditions. They were names as big as Oscar winner Jodie Foster, Emmy winner Melissa McCarthy, Razzie winner Adam Sandler and Jeff Goldblum, and yet it went to an unknown. After you see them trying out for the Star Wars spinoff, it is easy to see why he got it and they didn’t.

2 musicians lure John Williams out his house with the Star Wars theme!
July 19th, 2016 under Star Wars. [ Comments: none ]

Bryce Hayashi & Mickle took their brass horns and played the Star Wars theme outside of John Williams’ house, and they got a surprise that is in a galaxy far far away. The legendary composer came out to greet them and shake their hands. The 84 year old also got a surprise when he found out a 13 year old hit the nearly impossible high note. You don’t have to be Yoda to know, awesome this be.
It also shows you how truly exceptional John Williams is because he actually came out to meet them. Good thing for the two boys he was home at the time.
Now I wonder how many musicians are going to by his house and do the same thing?

Before James Earl Jones was living in a galaxy far far away in Star Wars, he was abducted by aliens in The UFO Incident. I love listening to 43 year old actor’s voice in that 1975 movie.

After 24 weeks and 168 days in theaters, Star Wars: The Force Awakens ended its out of this galaxy run in the US on June 2nd. According to Box Office Mojo the 7th movie in the franchise made $936,662,225 in America alone, making it the #1 grossing movie domestically. Personally, I wished they would’ve kept it in theaters long enough to reach the $10 billion mark. There are still people out there who haven’t seen it. I know it sounds weird, but I am one of them.

Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher go from forking to spooning!
May 26th, 2016 under Star Wars. [ Comments: none ]

Yesterday, I posted a photo of Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher fighting over a huge fork, and today we found out who won. Princess Leia showed us she is the Queen of the Universe. But it was her brother Luke Skywalker who won the battle. He Tweeted, “So @carrieffisher possesses #TheFork but I managed to wrestle that #SilverSpoon from her pampered mouth!”
Proving not only have they played brother and sister for the last 40 years, they really are like brother and sister.
BTW I am assuming there were no knives involved in this scenario because in a galaxy full of lightsabers who needs a knife?
