February 16th, 2017 under Before They Were Famous, Star Wars. [ Comments: none ]

Before Billy Dee Williams was a general in the Rebel Alliance in Star Wars, he was a doctor on Guiding Light. How blown away are you to see him back in 1966 when he was just 29 years old?

For weeks, Josh Gad has been trying to get his Murder on the Orient Express co-star to answer his Star Wars questions about Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and Daisy Ridley has refused to answer them. He has tried different ways to get her to talk, but it hasn’t worked. Today, he tried a new way. This time he brought someone else to ask the tough questions. That person is Dame Judi Dench, and no one can say no to her or can they? Let’s just say that the force is very strong with the Last Jedi. That is if she is the Last Jedi?

Josh Gad confronts Daisy Ridley over Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Josh Gad and Daisy Ridley are filming Murder on the Orient Express and looks like she might just do that to her co-star. Gad is a huge Star Wars fan and he couldn’t help but to trap her in his dressing room to find out what the title The Last Jedi means. Rey was not amused and put him on the spot to find out more about Frozen 2. He told her Olaf is in the sequel and she pretty much told him to let it go. I am sure she wants to share the information with him, she just can’t because of the consequences.
You have to admit the force is strong with her because I would’ve cracked under the pressure.

Star Wars: Episode VIII finally gets a name!
January 23rd, 2017 under Star Wars. [ Comments: none ]

Even though Star Wars: Episode VIII finished filming back in July, it didn’t get a name until today. The next episode in the franchise will be know as…Star Wars: The Last Jedi. What does that mean for Luke Skywalker? We will have to wait until December 15th to find out. Hopefully, it won’t be spoiled for me during the first weekend like the last one. Which is why I still haven’t seen Star Wars: A Force Awakens.
Anyways back to the movie until 10 days before Christmas, we are left to wonder what is left for the final episode in the series…

Star Wars has no plans to digitally recreate Princess Leia
January 14th, 2017 under Star Wars. [ Comments: none ]

One of the biggest surprises in Rogue One is that a young Princess Leia was in it. Therefore when Carrie Fisher passed away last month, people wondered if they would do the same with other Star Wars movies like Episode IX.
Lucasfilm broke their silence yesterday and released this statement:

We don’t normally respond to fan or press speculation, but there is a rumor circulating that we would like to address. We want to assure our fans that Lucasfilm has no plans to digitally recreate Carrie Fisher’s performance as Princess or General Leia Organa.
Carrie Fisher was, is, and always will be a part of the Lucasfilm family. She was our princess, our general, and more importantly, our friend. We are still hurting from her loss. We cherish her memory and legacy as Princess Leia, and will always strive to honor everything she gave to Star Wars.

That doesn’t mean they don’t plan to do it, but as of now they are not thinking about it. If they do decide to do it, I hope they honor properly and not use it as a stunt. That would be disrespectful to both her legacy and theirs.
How do you think they should do it?
