Seriously? OMG! WTF?

E! Online reports that Nicole Richie "fell ill" while filming Simple Life 5 yesterday. The set doctor looked at her and took her to a near-by hospital where she received intravenous for 15 minutes before she was was released. "Nicole is home resting and will return to work this evening," her rep said in a statement. "We are proud of the weight that Nicole is gaining and her focus on her health." I find it interesting that her publicist mentions that they are proud of the weight that she gained when she "fell ill" for "dehydration." Just makes me wonder if there is more to why she passed out? Although she does look like she has been putting on weight. 

Tony Curtis, 81 called his friend Norm Clarke on Wednesday to give him a health update. He said, "Tell everybody I'm still kicking"

Rumors have been circulating that he was on his death bed after spending 3 weeks in the hospital with pneumonia. Tony told Norm Clarke that people spreading those rumors "are going to look real silly when they see the photos in Vanity Fair." Tony will be featured in an upcoming article with photos and tales. 

Good to hear he is doing better! 

Sources tell ET that NICOLE KIDMAN was taken to a hospital after being involved in an accident on the set of her latest film, 'The Invasion.' The actress and her co-star, child actor JACKSON BOND, were shooting a chase scene when a stunt driver lost control while turning a corner on slick pavement. The street had been wet down with water before the scene. Their Jaguar crashed into a pole and hit a garbage can. Two crew members who were strapped to the top of the Jag were also involved, but it is not known if anyone was seriously hurt. Nicole and the other performers were taken to a local hospital to be checked for injuries.

UPDATE ON PAT’S KIDNEY OPERATION

We are very pleased to announce that Pat Spurgeon has finally received a kidney! On Friday January 12th, Pat underwent kidney transplant surgery, and it was a great success. He is now in the process of resting and recuperating with friends and loved ones and is on the road to a full recovery.

Throughout the course of Pat’s struggle with kidney failure, there have been so many of you that have been so gracious in showing your love and support for him. To those of you that sent him myspace messages, emails, and donations, your kind words did not go unread; your concern and hopefulness did not go unnoticed.

Pat was very lucky to receive a kidney, but there are still so many people out there searching.

Farrah Fawcett got an unbeatable gift for her 60th birthday: a clean bill of health. The actress, who revealed in October that she was fighting cancer, learned this week that she is cancer-free, spokesman Mike Pingel said Friday. Dr. Gary Gitnick, Fawcett’s lead physician at the University of California, Los Angeles, said the actress "has had a full and complete response to treatment." "Her prognosis is excellent," he said. The former "Charlie’s Angel" star said she was "deeply grateful" to her doctors and her family and friends "who have sustained me as I battled this terrible disease." "This is an extraordinarily happy day for me and my family," she said in a statement. "I hope that my news might offer some level of inspiration to others who unfortunately must continue to fight the disease." Fawcett planned to celebrate her birthday Friday with family and friends, Pingel said, and expects to return to work "in the next month or two." Fawcett did not disclose the type of cancer she was treated for. Her ex, Ryan O’Neal, told People Magazine she was being treated for anal cancer.
