A little over a week after Robert Carradine was in a near fatal accident, the Revenge of the Nerds’ star broke he silence. He thanked his fans for all of their love and support and asked for privacy as he heals. Then he Hashtagged, “#seatbeltsavelives”
So the next time you get in a car remember what he wrote because it just might save your life. Just like it did his. Hopefully, he will better soon and ready to tape the (yet to be announced) next season of King of the Nerds for TBS.
Thirteen months after Valerie Harper announced that she had a rare form of terminal brain cancer, she told Closer Magazine that she is cancer-free. Even though doctors told her cancer was incurable, she beat the odds. They’re just as happy about the results as she is.
A year ago she was given just months to live, and now her doctors don’t want to see her for another 2 months.
What a miraculous story and so inspirational too.
UPDATED: Valerie Harper was doing press today for her 2 episode arc on Hallmark’s Signed, Sealed, Delivered that airs starting this Sunday at 8- and she wanted to clarify the story that appeared in Closer Magazine. The actress said, “In response to a recent erroneous quote concerning my health, I am not ‘absolutely cancer-free.’ I wish I were. Right now what I am is cautiously optimistic about my present condition and I have hope for the future.â€
Back in March, it was revealed that Valerie Harper had terminal brain cancer and she was only given 3-6 months to live. Well this morning on Today, it was revealed that she is pretty close to a remission.
Since the diagnosis, she has undergone chemotherapy, acupuncture and drank Chinese teas in hope that it would slow the progression of the cancer. Well in June she found out that it did and her doctor said she is “pretty close to a remission” after he looked at her MRI.
While the news is great, there is no cure for her type of cancer. Sadly it can come back, but for now we focus on the positive and get ready to enjoy her on Hot in Cleveland this Wednesday on TV Land and Dancing with the Stars on ABC in September.
On September 19th you can hear more about Valerie Harper’s miraculous recovery in the hour long NBC special Valerie’s Story with Meredith Viera. Her story should be an inspiration to all of us, so I highly recommend watching this special.
Tim Curry has suffered a major stroke, and he is currently recuperating at home. His agent Marcia Hurwitz told Daily Mail, “Tim is doing great.” She then responded to the rumors that he cannot talk by adding, “He absolutely can speak and is recovering at this time and in great humour.” Hopefully his recovery will be an easy street.
When I was little girl I had the hugest crush on him from Annie, then when I got a little bit older I saw him in a more adult way in Rocky Horror Picture Show. Tim Curry is one of the few people left on my bucket list that I would love to interview or at least shake hands with. I am just such a huge fan of everything he does including the Family Affair remake!
