Hollywood Game Night is the show where celebrities are made to look ‘silly’! |
December 20th, 2013 under Jane Lynch, Sean Hayes. [ Comments: none ]

Hollywood Game Night was the hot show of the summer and it is back this Monday at 10p to warm up our winter starting with a special holiday edition. The celebrities taking part on the Christmas show are, Ray Romano, Cheryl Hines, Gavin DeGraw, Rachel Bilson, Andy Roddick and Brooklyn Decker. For the first time in HGN history, a married couple is on the show. Recently I went to the set of the popular game show and host Jane Lynch told us that Roddick and Decker are on opposing teams. So should we expect niceness from them? She told us they came to play, so expect some unmodel like behavior and some backhand comments between them. If that isn’t a reason to tune in, then the fact that the game show likes making celebrities look silly is the other reason to check it out.
So who are the other celebrities that are coming up on the show’s second season that officially starts on January 20th at 10p? They are Julie Bowen, Beth Behrs, Valerie Bertinelli,Lester Holt, Jason Alexander, Martin Short, Sean Hayes, Olivia Wilde, Jason Sudeikis, Alison Janney, Don Cheadle, Christina Applegate, Rosie O’Donnell, Penny Marshall, Chris Colfer, Taryn Manning, Donald Faison, Kaley Cuoco, Alison Sweeney, Fred Willard, Breckin Meyer, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Taraji P. Henson, Angela Kinsey, Jenna Elfman, Molly Shannon, Ellie Kemper, Bob Harper, Joel Madden, Nate Berkus, Erika Christensen, Michelle Trachtenberg, Mel B, Padma Lakshmi, Michael Weatherly, Yvette Nicole Brown, Anthony Anderson, Tiffani Thiessen, Pete Wentz, Adam Scott, Gary Dell’abate, Retta, Michael Chiklis, Tom Lennon, Paget Brewster, Mario Lopez, Alyssa Milano, Cobie Smulders, Taran Killam, Angie Harmon, Mark Feuerstein, Mayim Bialik and Henry Winkler.
So what surprises can we expect from that list of names. Lynch told us they tried to put couples and BFFs on opposite teams, but that idea struck out with Penny Marshall and Rosie O’Donnell so they are the same team. The Glee coach used one of her co-stars as a buffer between the two women or as she put it, “We put Chris Colfer between them to knock down the testosterone.” We will have to tune in to see if their team is something to sing about. On that note, some of the stars joined the band for a song or two including The Shield’s Michael Chiklis on drums and NBC News’ Lester Holt on bass. One star Lynch was singing the praises of was Rachel Bilson, who she misjudged because of her work on The OC. Jane told us that she was actually quite funny and the Hart of Dixie sweetheart shares a hilarious story about her pet pig that will leave everyone in tears because they are laughing so hard.
Just like every episode of Hollywood Game Night has done thus far. So don’t be a Scrooge and start your Christmas cheer early with HGN this Monday at 10p. Don’t miss it or be prepared to be Clue Boomed!

Christmas gets a little Grimm tonight! |
December 13th, 2013 under Sean Hayes. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 9p Grimm ends its winter run with a 2 great new episodes and both will leave you with nightmares.
If you grew up in NYC, then the first episode will have a special meaning for you. Remember when you were a kid and you heard that alligators lived in the sewers? Well tonight on Grimm they take on that myth and you will never want to go down into your local sewers ever again. Not that you ever wanted to in the first place, but after watching this urban legend come to life, you’ll be avoiding them like the plague.
Then at 10p Grimm gives new meaning to the naughty and nice list that Santa Claus keeps. When teenagers, who have been very naughty suddenly go missing, Nick (David Giuntoli) and Hank (Russell Hornsby) have to find out what happened to them. Turns out the legend of Krampus is true and they have to find the teens before it is too late. Will they be able to find where he has been hiding them before it is too late?
You will just have to tune in for two of hours of television that are absolutely perfect for Friday the 13th!
Now some of you may be saying that these episodes do not focus on stories that are part of the Grimm Fairytales and you would be right. Earlier this week I was on a conference call with the show’s star, David Giuntoli, and he talked about that. He explained that as the show and his character, Nick, grow “that some of these other phenomena that take place in the world haven’t yet been added to the book of fairy tales, but they are being added by Nick now.” Then he added, “So we are taking other myths and folklore and otherwise just kind of stories that have been told and putting the little Grimm spin behind them now, so I enjoy that.” He concluded that thought by saying that he likes it and I have to add that we the viewers agree with him. Seeing the scary bedtime stories we grew up with come to life on the small screen, terrifies us but we also enjoy felling that fear all over again.
And here are two little facts about tonight’s episode that he shared with us. They actually filmed part of the first episode in a sewer under Portland. When it comes to the second episode, when Giuntoli saw Derek Mears in his full Krampus makeup, he was actually frightened by him. So if an actor can be afraid of another actor, then you know that the episode is going to be scary good. So tune in or the Grimm will get you!

Tonight at 9p on NBC’s Grimm several Blutbaden are found dead and the cause of death is that their stomachs have exploded. Now Nick (David Giuntoli) and Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) have to find the source before more of them die. And the clock is ticking because Monroe is at risk since he is Blutbaden.
Once they find out who has been poisoning the Blutbaden, Monroe decides to take matters in his own hand. By the end of the episode, someone we love will be shot by someone else we love. Is it the end for that person? You will just have to watch to find out.
While there is plenty of death during tonight’s episode, it isn’t all sadness because Monroe asks Rosalee (Bree Turner) to move him with him. It is a sweet moment we have been waiting for and it doesn’t disappoint. But then again when does this show ever disappoint?
Oh and I must mention that Captain Renard (Sasha Roiz) and Nick have a confrontation that will have the Grimm reevaluating everything.
Grimm is best show that NBC has, so tune in for a show that is a fairytale to watch.
What is coming up this season show?
1 – The ashen hasn’t left Nick, so expect to see his skin go grey throughout the season.
2 – Someone is getting married, do you think you know who?
3 – Angel’s Alexis Denisof is joining the show for a few episodes.
4 – Tis the season for a Christmas episode and it was one for the ages.
5 – Portland has a sewer system and there are alligators hiding out there. At least for the time being…
6 – A mermaid is coming next season, and she is not only beautiful she is dangerous.

Grimm is back from the dead, but is he? |

Grimm is finally back on NBC tonight at 9p and you don’t want to miss this heart pumping episode.
The show picks up right where the season finale left off and the walking dead have taken over. Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch), Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee (Bree Turner) are trying to fight them off as best as they can, but there are way too many of them. Finally they reach some safety in the car, and they realize Nick (David Giuntoli) is missing. Juliette insists they go back for him, but the others insist that they cannot. So she calls his partner, Hank (Russell Hornsby), to come help them. Finally, they get the situation under control, and there is still no sign of Nick.
Captain Sean Renard (Sasha Roiz) realizes that his brother has kidnapped Nick and just when they are about to rescue him the plane takes off and there is nothing they can do. Nick meanwhile has been infected and it is effecting him differently than it did the others because he is a Grimm. Our Nick is gone and this new uncontrollable Nick has taken over.
Will they be able to save him or will the Grimm that we know and love be gone forever? You will have to tune in to find out in this episode that barely lets you breath because it is a nonstop thrill ride.
Oh and Adalind (Claire Coffee) is still trying to get her powers back and she will have to do a lot of horrible things in order to get them back. I can’t even describe them because they are that disgusting.
