Tonight at 9p, Syfy does their own take of Snowmageddon and it is going to shake up your holiday season.
When a young boy receives a snow globe of his town horrible things happen to it whenever he shakes it up. Normal, Alaska will be anything but normal after it experiences some of the weirdest catastrophes ever seen. But it is only the boy who realizes it is his snow globe that is doing. Will anyone listen to him? And if they will they figure out to destroy the snow globe before it destroys the town. Tune into this suspenseful Christmas story that could only air on Syfy.
Starting tonight at 8p on Syfy three of their enjoyable scripted shows Eureka, Warehouse 13 and Haven each get their own Christmas tales.
First up is Eureka and this holiday special is very animated, as in the cast and the town are turned into different cartoon like characters throughout the hour after Alison and Jack’s kids start reading a special book that only Eureka can create. It wouldn’t be so much of a problem if it was only them; but since it is a children’s book they are reading scary monsters have entered the story and they are very destructive. Will they get a happily ever after ending or is their book closed forever?
Then at 9p it is time for Warehouse 13 to take a turn on Santa’s Sleigh with their version of It’s A Wonderful Life. Pete accidentally touches an artifact that makes it like he never existed. In fact not only does no one remember him, everyone and everything is different. Artie is no longer running Warehouse 13, Claudia is still in a mental institution and Myka never heard of W13. That would be OK, but an evil face from the past is now running the place we know and it is up to Pete to somehow turn things around. Will he be able to prove that he exists and save Warehouse 13 or will we get to know a whole group of agents?
Lastly as the Egg Nog is starting to kick in, Haven will share a story that will make you appreciate everyone in your life. It seems to be a normal day in Haven except that the town is literally celebrating Christmas in July and they don’t know why. It should be a happy town, but little by little the population is starting to dwindle away like they never existed until only Audrey and the Troubled person are left. Will she be able to convince that person to bring everyone back from where ever they are or will Haven’s sign now read Population 2?
Tune into find out all of those answers on a pleasurable night on Syfy! While everyone is doing the sweet sugar plum versions of Christmas, Syfy is giving us one we can appreciate just as much and one that it isn’t so sickeningly sweet!
In all sincerity I am extremely happy that Syfy is spreading some Christmas Cheer because it is nice to have a different take on the holiday! So thank you Syfy for this wonderful annual Christmas treat!
BTW you don’t have to watch any of this shows on regular basis to enjoy them, so check why not them out. You never you, your New Year’s Resolution might be to add them to your viewing schedule when they come back with regular episodes in 2012.
Lastly now that Eureka (is sadly) ending, I wonder what show will replace it next X-Mas? Will it be Alphas using their abilities to find out if a man who claims to be Old Saint Nick really is him? Or what about Being Human seeing the actual Christmas spirit and trying to share its thought with the world?
We all grew up with the story of Peter Pan and Captain Hook, and tonight starting at 9p we find out how their story really began in Neverland. John Carpenter, Wes Craven, George Romero, Anne Rice, Alan Ball and John Landis will talk about the future for Vampires, Zombies, Werewolves, killer dolls and faceless serial killers for two hours and how some of the deadly monsters will change and some will remain the same. The horror legends agreed that the older horror movies are better than the ones that have we have today. They all agreed that we should expect to see the end of Torture Porn shortly, if we haven’t already. They also discussed the remake fad and why the originals worked and the newer versions have not.
