Tony Dovolani, who partnered with Sara Evans on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars, tells CMT Insider that he feels a family bond with the country singer who is going through a very public divorce. "I love Sara as a sister, and I’ve kind of acted like a big brother to her," he said. "My wife Lena has been lending support to all that we’ve been doing. It’s a little heartbreaking for (Evans) because she has always dreamed of becoming a dancer. As we all know, she broke both her legs when she was 8 years old, and for such a wonderful experience to turn a little bit sour because of whatever is happening in her personal life, it’s kinda sad." Dovolani says he will remain with the show. Evans is expected to return for the season finale.

I believe him and never thought the two were having an affair.

Will Sara Evans dance around the truth tonight? |

If you want the dish from Sara Evans on why she’s bailing from her marriage and "Dancing With the Stars," prepare to be very frustrated. A source directly connected with Evans and her divorce case tells TMZ that the country star will indeed appear for approximately six minutes on tonight’s show, but her statement regarding her marriage is "very vanilla." Evans filed for divorce last week claiming her husband cheated on her– but that’s just the beginning. Evans claims her husband has photographs of himself having sex with other women and has at least 100 nude photos of himself "in a state of arousal." Craig Schelske, Evan’s husband, denies the allegations. TMZ is told Evans will not talk about the allegation on tonight’s "Dancing with the Stars." Indeed, Evans will not even reference her husband. The statement she will make centers around doing what’s best for her three children.
TMZ (Thanks Clinton)
Did anyone really think she would going to spill the beans on the DTWS?

Following reports that SARA EVANS suddenly dropped out of ABC’s "Dancing with the Stars" competition due to her pending divorce from her husband, CRAIG SCHELSKE, we learn the country singer has taped a short interview with ABC that the show will air Tuesday. Hollywood is also reacting to Sara’s sad ‘Dancing’ departure. "I respect her because she puts her family first," JOEY LAWRENCE says. "Nothing is more paramount than that and I couldn’t agree with her decision more." MARIO LOPEZ also offers his support for his friend. "Sara’s a wonderful person," he says. "I love her." Sara’s country superstar friends are also speaking out about the surprising news. "[I’m] friends with her and her husband," TIM McGRAW says. "It’s none of my business but I wish the best for them." In court papers obtained by ET, Sara alleges verbal abuse, harassment, excessive consumption of alcohol and adultery. The filing also seeks custody of their children. In the documents, Sara claims her husband has been storing personal ads looking for sex from the online site Craigslist on his personal computer. They also state that he "maintains many pornographic photographs" of himself, along with photographs showing him having sex with other women. On Friday her lawyer told ET that "under the circumstances, Sara had no other choice [but to file for divorce]." And today, Sara’s lawyers are filing supplemental complaints asking for additional restraining orders. According to her attorney, Craig withdrew $275,000 from their joint account and put it into an account with only his name on it. The additional restraining order will forbid him from withdrawing any additional funds. Sara and her husband were married in 1993. They have three children together. The 43-year-old Schelske once unsuccessfully ran for Congress in his home state of Oregon. According to a statement from her rep, ALLEN BROWN, "recent events that shed light on the status of her marriage prompted Ms. Evans to make the filing." Brown goes on to say that the celeb decided to drop out of her "Dancing" commitment "to give her family her full attention at this difficult time." "Ms. Evans hopes that her fans and TV viewers who’ve supported her in recent weeks and throughout her music career will respect and understand her need for privacy in the face of these recent events," he added.

If she never did the show her divorce would’ve been a little blurb, but now it is front page news…so sad.

Sara Evans has accused her husband of 13 years, Craig Schelske, of having an affair with her former nanny and close friend who inspired her involvement in a national eating disorder organization. On Thursday, the country singer filed for divorce and announced that she had dropped out of the ABC reality show “Dancing With the Stars” to spend time with her family. In a divorce complaint filed Thursday in Williamson County Chancery Court, Evans requested a divorce on the grounds of adultery, inappropriate marital conduct and irreconcilable differences. The documents allege that Schelske watched pornography, and kept numerous nude photos of himself on his computer, as well as photographs of Schelske having sex with other women. Documents filed Thursday in Williamson County Chancery Court stated, “Wife further alleges that Husband has been guilty of adultery with Alison Clinton.” Clinton could not be reached for comment. Evans mentioned Clinton in the thank yous of the liner notes of her 2003 album Restless: “Alison Clinton (assistant/nanny/do it all/comic relief).” Today, Evans’ attorney would not specifically address questions about Clinton. John Hollins Jr. said, “There is a factual basis for all of the allegations made in this complaint.” In September, Evans hosted Fashion for Every Body, which benefited the Eating Disorders Coalition of Tennessee and the Sara Evans Fund. (Evans was recently named an ambassador for the National Eating Disorders Association.) During that Nashville event, Clinton joined Evans onstage. Evans told The Tennessean in an interview for a Sept. 3 Life cover story, she had a personal link to the disorder: “One of my best friends, who started out being my nanny and then we became best friends, developed anorexia and I watched her almost die.” Evans said. Evans explained that the woman lost her nanny job because of anorexia. “It was this big mess and so sad because she was suffering and on her way to death.”

On Thursday, October 12, 2006 country music singer-songwriter Sara Evans filed for divorce from her husband Craig Schelske. Sadly I doubt she will get a lot of privacy.
