Back in 1989, Roseanne Barr made her big screen debut in a movie that also stars the legendary Meryl Streep. She-Devil was a campy movie, but not bad enough to not earn Streep a Golden Globes nomination. While the Hollywood Foreign Press liked it, Tom Arnold says his ex-She-Devil was not a fan of it. Not only that, he Tweeted, “Roseanne HATED IT. Stormed out of the screening ugh.” She missed out because it is so bad it is good. If you are like Barr and have never seen it, then don’t be like her and watch it. You won’t regret it.
Remember how Roseanne killed off Dan in the series finale? Then ABC told us to forget about that? Well in this promo, I do not know who to believe. That’s because when Dan Conner talks about the Bulls in the late ’90s, his wife tells him, “You can’t live in the past, Dan. When things are gone, they’re gone forever.” Is that referring to him or the show or both? I think I need to lay off the leftover eggnog because it is making me imagine things that are not there.
We are three months and three days away from the premiere of the Roseanne revival and the Conner patriarchs, Roseanne Barr and John Goodman, are wishing us a Merry Christmas. But in their own special way. A way that makes me even more excited the sitcom to come back already.
We might not have asked for Roseanne to come back, but we sure as hell love that it is!
One of the most anticipated news shows of 2017 finally has a premiere date, and Roseanne will be back on our airwaves with all new episodes starting on Tuesday, March 27th at 8p.
According to ABC the revival will, “Featuring the complete original cast, new series regulars and notable returning guest stars, the revival will explore life, death and everything in between through the relatable, hilarious and brutally honest lens of the Conner household. With the inimitable Roseanne at its epicenter, fresh stories that tackle today’s issues and even more laughs from a brilliant cast and crew that haven’t missed a beat, audiences old and new will celebrate the homecoming of America’s favorite working-class family.” I am assuming the death will be Mark Healy, in honor of his real life passing in 2002 when he was just 32.
When it comes to The Middle, it will move to 8:30p the following week. That is the first time it has held that timeslot since it first premiered back in 2009. At first I was pissed with the move, but then I realized Roseanne will be helping it get better ratings for final few episodes. I am so going to miss this show.
When it comes to what is gone in order to make room Roseanne. Say goodbye to The Mayor that is missing something that I cannot put my finger on.
To me, one of the biggest differences between a revival and a reboot is the theme song. Revivals keep them and reboots modernize them. Thankfully, Roseanne is a revival and today Roseanne Barr revealed that they are keeping that tune we have all heard hundreds of times as is. We do not how the open will look, but we do know she really enjoyed it. Which means so will we.
Now, if only ABC will finally tell us when the 9 anticipated episodes will air, we will all be as happy as she is here. What are they waiting for?
BTW I love the no social media sign in the background, hopefully she will not get in trouble for posting this on social media. Then again she is Roseanne Barr and when has she ever done what she is supposed to do?
