I don’t know anything about this movie Tropic Thunder, except that Robert Downey Jr is playing an African-American man it. So just for that reason I am posting the teaser trailer.
Minus Ben Stiller this movie actually has a good cast, now I am kind of curious about it.
MySpace’s Trailer Park got the first look of the new trailer for the anticipated movie Iron Man and it is the first time that MySpace has a trailer in High-Definition! Wow both the movie and the trailer look amazing! Robert Downey Jr actually looks good in high-definition, I am happy to say!
Iron Man comes out on May 2nd, but til then check out all the other trailers on MySpace’s Trailer Park like College Road Trip and Harold and Kumar 2!!!
ROBERT DOWNEY JR has psychic powers that allow him to dream about film projects years before they become reality. The CHAPLIN star often conjures up movies in his sleep and then suffers a strange sense of deja vu when he’s actually offered his dream roles years later. The actor explains, "There have been times where I realised that my dreamscape is obviously being influenced by what I’m doing when I’m awake. "I know for sure that I’ve had dreams and then realised that they were about movies that I was 10 or 15 years away from doing. That’s the great thing about that whole dream world – it has nothing to do with space and time. "There’s this thing I’m doing in Toronto right now (movie CHARLIE BARTLETT), where, I swear to God, I remember having this dream and in the dream, they (producers) said, ‘Yeah, we worked it out so that you’re on HOPE DAVIS’ schedule.’ "Then I started seeing Hope Davis, who’s in the film. I can tell you that with the 70 movies I’ve done, probably 25 per cent of them have been: ‘This is too weird.’ "We’re always kind of creating our reality one way or another. It’s too much work to create your reality just when you’re awake."
Robert Downey Jr., whose own life story at times has been gripping, intends to write his memoirs. The 41-year-old actor has signed a deal with HarperEntertainment, an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers, the company announced Thursday. The book is set to be released in 2008. The publisher, which did not disclose the terms of pact, promised a "candid look at the highs and lows of his life and career." "He has an intelligence which shines through all his performances, revealing his intellect as well as his acting abilities," Marjorie Braman, an executive with the publishing company, said Thursday. "His dramatic personal life, often at odds with his career, adds a layer of complexity to who he is." He suffered from recurring drug and alcohol problems in the 1990s, prison time, court-ordered rehab and probation that ended in 2002.
Keanu Reeves reunites with his Dracula co-star Winona Ryder in the upcoming SF adaptation A Scanner Darkly, and both told SCI FI Wire that they have very different memories of their first collaboration, in Francis Ford Coppola’s movie version of Bram Stoker’s vampire novel.
Reeves loved the 19th-century costumes the pair wore in the 1992 movie. "Are you kidding? Those costumes were fantastic," Reeves said in interviews to promote A Scanner Darkly.
Ryder disagreed. "Noooo!" she chimed in. She and the other actresses in Dracula complained at the time about the constricting corsets of the period costumes. Reminded of this, Reeves apologized. "That’s right," he said. "You were bound and gagged in the corset hell."
Ryder said: "I had that coat on my back with strings that pulled back and choked me the whole time." In Dracula, Ryder played Mina Murray opposite Reeves’ Jonathan Harker.
In their latest collaboration, a movie version of Philip K. Dick’s story, the actors play characters set in the future. Their live-action performances are painted over with animation in a technique that mirrors director Richard Linklater’s previous film, Waking Life.
Ryder said that she was thrilled to work with Reeves again and added that she was glad not to have the costumes they wore in Dracula. Reeves concurred. "Well, from my perspective, [the costumes] were fantastic," he said. "Winona suffered for her art in that. I didn’t have to suffer." A Scanner Darkly also stars Woody Harrelson, Robert Downey Jr. and Rory Cochrane and opens nationwide on July 7.
