Hey, buddy! Pauly Shore really wants to do a movie about Richard Simmons because he looks so much like him. All he needs is the Weight Guru’s approval. So, the comedian reached out to him. And his people responded.
RICHARD SIMMONS UPDATE. Since many people always told me I look like Richard Simmons, I started this series on all my social media platforms called Sweatin with the Wiez honoring Richard. Then someone made their own meme about me playing Richard in a biopic. The post I did, it was me responding to all that love from you guys. So, I reached out to Richard… and his representatives said that Richard loves me and my mom (he has known us both for decades), but Richard is politely passing. He said Richard, at this time, wants to remain private, which we all need to respect. Richard, we all miss you, love you very much and want nothing but the best for you. You are in all of our hearts. You can always reach out to me if you change your mind. I’m just a phone call away. And since today is Yom Kippur, I’d love to stop by, bring you some yummy warm matzo ball soup and sit at the head of your bed and gaze into your eyes.
Wait a minute, here’s an idea. Why don’t we hit up Dexter Fletcher, the dude who did an AMAZING job directing Rocketman, the Elton John story? Dexter, we can do a test tape to present to Richard and his reps for his blessing? What do you think, you guys? I mean, the movie poster has already been made! Hit up Dexter, doodz.”
So there you have it. It doesn’t look like the biopic is going to happen. That is unless they do an unauthorized version. But that would be royally fucked up if Shore did that.

Hey, Buddy! Now that Pauly Shore saw his two Encino Man co-stars, Brendan Frazer and Ke Huy Quan, win Oscars this year, he wants one for himself. And he has the perfect role to make it happen.

Richards Simmons has been in hiding since 2014, and we don’t know why. So TMZ did a special TMZ Investigates: What Really Happened to Richard Simmons. In that investigation, they say that he became a recluse due to a bad knee and a painful birth defect in his foot.
I am assuming they might’ve gotten it right because today there was a message on The Weight Saint’s Facebook supposedly from him. He wrote, “Thank you, everyone, for your kindness and love! ❤️. Love, Richard.”
Is it really Simmons? We don’t know. I hope so. And I hope he decided to resurface because he has been missed.

NY is not the same place it was when I lived there. Why do I say that? Because when I lived there, if Ryan Secrest would’ve dressed as Richard Simmons and shook his butt at NYers like that, they would’ve gone into the building and made him run until he was Sweatin’ with the Oldies.
Seriously, I am still mad at the exercise guru for going into hiding, but he doesn’t deserve this. Videos like this are going to keep him in hiding and not coax him out.

So I am scrolling through my For You Page on TikTok, and I see someone that looks exactly like a young Richard Simmons. Of course, I press play, and it turns out to be Pauly Shore. The actor wants his fans to be Sweatin’ to The Weez, which is like Sweatin’ to the Oldies from the Weight Saint.
Now, I want to know when Shore turned into Simmons? Is he trying to do a movie about Simmons so that he can play him? If not, can he turn this into an exercise series for those of us who are missing Simmons, like me? He has that same energy, the afro, and the booty shorts. Maybe if he did, it would bring Simmons out of hiding. We need him back, now more than ever.
Back to Shore, doesn’t he seriously look like Simmons? It is uncanny.
