Sir Paul McCartney has assured his old friend Ringo Starr he is coping well with the trauma of his marriage split with wife Heather. The Beatles legend told his former bandmate: ‘I’ll be alright.’ A friend told the Daily Mirror: ‘Ringo asked him ‘Are you alright?’ and Paul replied ‘I’m fine’. Ringo seemed really concerned and said ‘Are you sure?’ Paul smiled at him, touched his arm and said ‘I’ll be all right.’"The pair were reunited at the premiere of Las Vegas extravaganza Love, which is based around the Beatles’ music The show’s producers were delighted 64-year-old Sir Paul turned up for the premiere and party afterwards. John Lennon’s widow Yoko Ono also spoke of her sadness for Sir Paul over the break-up. However, she stressed her support for Heather Mills. "I feel very bad for her. I know better than anyone what it’s like being a Beatle wife, nobody gives you an easy time. "The thing I keep remembering is how, just before Heather gave birth to her and Paul’s daughter, he told me how happy he was. He actually said: ‘I feel like I’ve been given a second life.’"They were really in love and it’s very sad it hasn’t worked out."It was Sir Paul’s first public appearance since he split from wife Heather.

YOKO ONO has hit out at reports she has buried her "feud" with former BEATLE SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY – insisting they have always been close pals anyway. The widow of BEATLES singer JOHN LENNON, who has offered her support to the rocker after his split from HEATHER MILLS, has struggled to shake off the stigma that she supposedly came between Lennon and MCCartney when she began romancing the STRAWBERRY FIELDS star. And she rubbishes rumours there is an abiding tension between herself and the 64-year-old. She says, "We always see each other – people don’t know."

Heather Mills ready to settle for £10 million? |

Heather Mills is reportedly planning to settle for a £10 million divorce settlement from her estranged husband Sir Paul McCartney.
The former model, who has been pilloried in the British press since her three year marriage broke down, apparently wants to avoid any acrimonious divorce proceedings so will relinquish any claim to Sir Paul’s estimated £825 million fortune in favour of a quick settlement.
A friend tells The People, “Heather is satisfied with the £10million deal being discussed. She was only too aware that she could have gone into battle for a lot more. But she is still devastated over the break-up and is not in any mood for a bitter legal row."
Despite legal eagles predicting the charity campaigner could be awarded up to £200 million by the courts in a contested claim, the couple’s priority is said to be the well-being of their two-year-old daughter Beatrice, who Sir Paul will be granted access to.
The pal adds, “Heather and Paul have been in regular contact since they split up in May. She has no intention of putting up a fight. She is far too upset to even think about going down that road.
"They have constantly reminded each other that Bea should always remain their number one priority throughout the finalisation of their divorce.”
Heather is also said to be preparing to buy a 200 acre estate near Midhurst, West Sussex – 70 miles from her home with McCartney in East Sussex.
The source explains, “The property is just what Heather has in mind as a future home for her and her daughter. It is not on the market yet but she has found out all about it and is very impressed. Heather feels that moving there would let her get on with her life without the worry of prying eyes. She is desperate for some peace and quiet to come to terms with what has happened to her."
