James Franco Tweeted the above song and said, “they pulled this from the oscar show. damn it.” After listening to it, I think it is obvious why they pulled it…he can’t sing to save his arm. I almost wanted to do a Vincent Van Gogh after listening to that, just to put my ears out of their misery.
Now in all honesty who thinks that song was ever really an option for Sunday’s Academy Awards? I think it is just a stunt to get us to want to watch. Which I am still wavering on.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences released the posters for the 83rd Oscars and you know what they are best ones I have seen to date. I like the messaging on them like “He’ll leave someone speechless tonight.” That is just straight and to the point of what the Oscars are all about.
I just wish the Awards show would be as cool as the posters, but I don’t think they will be. I just don’t have faith in the hosts and I am underwhelmed by what will be nominated.
If you are like me and when you heard that James Franco is going to host this year’s Oscar, you were like WTF??? Well yesterday the 127 Hours’ star was on Jimmy Kimmel Live and he told him how he got the coveted job. He is friends with Bill Condon, who is this year’s producer. I wonder if they will be friends come March???
I will say it now and I am sure will say it again after the Oscars air, he is an awful awful awful choice. I’m sorry, but he is so f*cking boring. I was actually falling asleep listening to him talking about how he got the job, how the f*ck am I going to stay up during the Academy Awards when it is 4 hours of that…
ABC and AMPAS announced today that Anne Hathaway and James Franco are going to host the Oscars. Are you saying what I am saying and that is “WTF?” I get Anne Hathaway is Hollywood’s darling and did a great opening number with Hugh Jackman two years ago. But why James Franco? What has he done that makes him worthy of such an important job? I hated him on General Hospital and personally think he comes off as a pompous a$$ during televised and written interviews. So I am assuming that he probably gave the producers something from Pineapple Express to get the job? Seriously I am dumbfounded why they asked him to do such a big job. Plus I wonder how many of Hollywood’s other elite are going to feel that he got the honor before him.
I really never thought they could top Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin hosting, but they did. I am scared for this year’s Oscars on February 27th, what about you?
Ving Rhames and Elisabeth Shue (she looks fabulous!) shot a video for Funny or Die to show the Academy what it would look if he won the Oscar for Piranha 3D. After hearing that speech, I really want him to win because he would so liven up the Oscar telecast. Seriously how awesome would it be to see him give a speech like that on Hollywood’s biggest night of the year?
But it isn’t only acceptance speech as why I am saying he deserves the win, but also because he earned it for his role in Piranha 3D. I had tears in my eyes (granted they were tears of laughter, but I had tears) when he died because he went out a hero and isn’t that who normally wins that award…The Hero?
So let’s start the For Your Consideration campaign to get him the Oscar nom he so richly deserves.
BTW if you are going to see one movie this weekend make it Piranha 3D, it is not like there is anything else worth seeing! Seriously it is the best movie I have seen all year!!!
