Looks like Meg Ryan had something to celebrate for her 48th birthday on 11/20 because according to The Herald Sun she has been seen getting cozy with the 41 year old Julian McMahon. The two have been seen having several dinners together and at one of them they were seen holding hands. I wonder if she realizes he just plays a plastic surgeon on Nip/Tuck and he isn’t really one? Sorry I couldn’t resist.
Nip/Tuck is back for its 6th season tonight on FX at 10p and what a season it is going to be. The show starts off a short time after the season finale and we find out what is the future for Christian and Liz’s marriage now that he is in remission. Yeah, just as you can expect it’s over between them, what you don’t see coming is what a bitch Liz becomes! You go girl, for finally putting Christian in his place and boy does she do it. Sean continues his bad decision making when it comes to women and blood will be shed. The guys are also hard up for money and they are making changes, like bringing Mario Lopez on and specializing in a certain type of plastic surgery. You will have to watch to see what it is because it is a good one. Kimber is also having money problems and chooses a new profession, something that is pretty desperate until Christian tries to go into business with her for something I would totally want. Matt wants to be a mime and if that spells trouble for him. As you can see from trailer above, he needs money more than his two dads and his ex and he will get himself in trouble again.
The one thing about Nip/Tuck that never changes is just how out there it and this season is no different. So check out Nip/Tuck tonight and every Wednesday at 10p on FX for a beautiful show with some not so pretty stroylines and that is just how we love it!!!
Before Julian McMahon was making people perfect on Nip/Tuck, he was pure perfection in this Levi Strauss ad. OMG! How doable was the 20 year old actor in that 1988 ad. I am not saying he isn’t doable now, but man back then…oh my!!!
Melanie Griffith is going to guest star on FX’s Nip/Tuck, but sadly she won’t be playing a patient od McNamara/Troy. According to TV Guide, she will be playing Kimber’s mom.
Brandie will be joined by Les, her too-tan, on-again-off-again car-salesman boyfriend of six years. Les, played by Robin Thomas (Another World, Who’s the Boss), ignites insta-hate from Christian (Julian McMahon). The breast-cancer-battling doc sees too much of his own abuse of women  especially Kimber  in Les’s treatment of Brandie.
I know she looks like the actress who plays Kimber, but who is with me that she would have been better cast as a patient like Joan Rivers and Joan Van Ark when they guest starred on the show?
So when Nip/Tuck first came out it was my one of my favorite shows on TV, but ever since the show left Miami for LA it is just so out there and depressing I am not sure why I am still watching this show.
Christian is dying from breast cancer, which is a sad way for the show to spend its final episodes. And that is just one of the way depressing things on the show…they also had Julia shot in the head by her lover’s daughter and Julia lost her memory. Then Julia’s lover died when Sean did plastic surgery on her. Oh and Sean was confined to a wheelchair at the beginning of the season because a woman obsessed with him stabbed him the back several times! Good times…not.
But then when it comes to out there. A few weeks ago they had a woman walk into the waiting room and chop off her breast with an electric knife. Which I could still handle, because it was medically relevant. But then last night they brought on Richard Burgi to f*ck a couch. Yes he literally strip down and do a Scott Baio (how he lost his virginity) and make sweet sweet love to a couch. Seriously? OMG! WTF? is Ryan Murphy just trying to create the stupidest scenarios because he can? I mean, the show is getting to the point that is unwatchable and I am not sure I will be around for the series finale or even to find out if Christian might beat the odds and live. And that episode airs next week during the season finale. Am I alone on my feelings about Nip/Tuck?
Now when it comes to Richard Burgi, I am not sure I will ever be able to watch him again. That is unless it is the dog scene in Hostel 2, but even that movie has been tarnished for me thanks to what he did to that poor innocent couch…which gives new meaning to the Love Seat!!!
