Wednesday is one of Netflix’s biggest shows ever, so a second season seemed like a given. However, it has been a month and a half since the series dropped, and the streamer didn’t renew it.
But, it is time to put your hands, hands, hands, above your head, head, head because they finally ordered a second season. And Jenna Ortega is so thrilled about it; there are rumors that she actually blinked once.
Netflix has put Blockbuster out of business after one season, according to Deadline. The series starred Randall Park as the manager of the last Blockbuster store and was panned by critics. However, I liked it. So, I am sad to see it make like the video chain and become extinct.
Wednesday is a huge hit, and one of the best parts of it is Thing. Wednesday’s helping hand, literally.
Thing has such a huge fan base that Netflix wanted to see if New Yorkers would recognize him if he was walking alongside them. How did they react? Just as you would expect. They screamed because they were so shocked to see such a huge celebrity perusing next to them.
New Yorkers have seen everything, so Thing wasn’t that shocking to all of them, which is why the Nun at the end had the best reaction.
And I hope we see more cities’ reactions to Thing! Because this is the best celebrity sighting video, I’ve ever seen!
Jenna Ortega is phenomenal in Wednesday, but what about her co-star who plays Thing? He is just a hand, or is he? Netflix Memes shared a behind-the-scenes photo from the series, and there is a whole body that goes with the hand.
Victor Dorobantu is the man behind the appendage. And the actor was part of the scenes he was in; he was just hidden.
I love that they used a human to play the part and didn’t just CGI him like so many other projects do. That is why Thing is so realistic in the series. It is because he is real.
Netflix is going to do something they have never done before. They are going live! For this inaugural event, they asked Chris Rock to do the honors.
“Chris Rock is one of the most iconic and important comedic voices of our generation,” said Robbie Praw, Netflix Vice President of Stand-up and Comedy Formats. “We’re thrilled the entire world will be able to experience a live Chris Rock comedy event and be a part of Netflix history. This will be an unforgettable moment and we’re so honored that Chris is carrying this torch.”
What’s the worst that could happen? I mean, the last time that he did a live event was at the Oscars. Oh…
I am sure Will Smith is shitting a brick over this…as he should!
The comedian’s live event will stream early next year.
