Aubrey Plaza and Amy Pohler were at the 20th Annual Environmental Media Awards and I have to wonder if the Parks and Recreation stars have something to us? Look at the way April is grabbing Leslie’s Knope. I really want to know what is going on in that Pawnee Pit when the cameras stop rolling? Probably nothing, but for now Tom Haverford and you boys can only imagine.
Tonight on NBC at 8p one of the most inspirational shows ever to grace debuts and I think that everyone including politicians and parents should watch School Pride.
School Pride is like Extreme Makeover but for schools and it is sad how many schools need this show. Education is something that every child deserves and it is such a shame that they are learning in such poor conditions. Some of the schools that Tom Stroup; interior designer Susie Castillo (“House of Payne”); comedian and former substitute teacher Kym Whitley (“‘Til Death”); and journalist Jacob Soboroff (“AMC News”) visited had ceilings coming down, no supplies like the basics, one ball for the whole school and it had no air, rust, mold and so on. These are no conditions for any kid to spend their weekdays at and this touching NBC show goes in and cleans up a mess that seems to be ignored. Not because they want to but they just don’t have the money or power to make it better and that is extremely depressing. Having said that, School Pride is making a difference and they are doing so because the students and teachers are asking for it. Maybe if enough people see this, people will learn how to allocate the funds needed to rebuild our schools and make them habitable. If that happens, this show deserves sh!tload of awards and honors. I am not trying to be political, but education is one of the most important things you can give every kid and it is sad that they are doing so in such sh!tty conditions. So make a difference starting tonight at 8p and watch School Pride on NBC!
Tonight on NBC at 8:30p est and then at 8:30p pst 30 Rock will go live. That’s right Alec Baldwin, Tina Fey and the unpredictable Tracy Morgan are doing their show live twice tonight, once for the east coast and once for the west coast. I can’t wait to see what happens on tonight’s episode because you know they are going to mess up at some point. Especially their Oscar winning guest star Matt Damon, I wonder if he is the one that winds up pregnant in the episode?
Before 30 Rock goes live, Community goes to space. Actually they don’t really go to space, but when Greendale College comes up space stimulator something goes terribly wrong and they get the experience like they are flying into space. Tune in at 8p to find out what that means in this episode that will leave spacey from laughing so hard.
At 9:30p see what interesting new products Mid Atlantic Novelties comes out with on the hysterical Outsourced.
Finally the night ends on NBC with The Apprentice at 10p and this episode will have Donald Trump pulling out his hair. OK we don’t really see him do that, but we do see him lose it in the board room when one of the teams does so bad during their challenge he blows his top. Tune in for a board room first as someone learns what the expression these boots are made for walking and walking is what they will do mean after Trump gets done with them.
Days after NBC halted production on Outlaw they have decided to pull the plug on the legal drama according to The Live Feed. Unlike the first two shows that were cancelled (Lone Star and My Generation) this season, the remaining episodes of Jimmy Smits’ show will air on the network although not on its regularly scheduled night. The show will move from its Friday night slot to Saturdays, so fans of the show (like me) will be able to watch the remaining episode. Personally I think NBC should’ve moved it to Mondays after The Event and given it another try and then tried Chase on Fridays, but then again I am biased because I like Outlaw. Are you sad to see this show go or are you happy another legal drama’s case is closed?
BTW here is a scorecard so far for the new season Fox (Lonestar), ABC (My Generation) and NBC (Outlaw) have all cancelled one show while Fox (Raising Hope) is the only one to give a full season pick up to a new show. CBS and The CW time to make a move…
Fox announced today that it picked up Raising Hope for a full season by ordering the back 9 episodes. Out of all the new shows of the season, this was not the one I expected to be the first one to get a full season order. I thought CBS would’ve ordered a Hang 9 to Hawaii Five-0 first or The CW would’ve cheered on Hellcats or NBC would’ve made The Event’s pick up and event or ABC…well let’s No Ordinary Family another week. Seriously Raising Hope is doing OK and not that great in the ratings, so why this show over the other show that have been doing great in the ratings? I guess Fox sees something in the show that I don’t. Maybe it is me, but this show just didn’t do anything for me. Now I have to wonder if the pick up is a nail in Running Wilde’s coffin because maybe Fox will start running back to back episodes of Hope when they finally tame Keri Russell’s show like she tamed her hair…
UPDATE: While the news was good over Fox, the news wasn’t as good over at Fox. The Live Feed is reporting that NBC has halted production on Outlaw. The Jimmy Smits show has aired three episodes and has filmed 5 more, the network at this time plans to air the remaining eps to see if the ratings can improve. If they do then the show will go back in production, if not it will join Lone Star and My Generation. I know I am in the minority, but I actually like this show. It is different than other legal dramas because it takes cases that no one else wants. So please watch this show on Friday at 10p so we can get this show back in production! C’mon NBC what show that doesn’t have Tom Selleck in it ever does well on Friday night at 10p???
