After just two low rated airings, NBC has cancelled The Paul Reiser Show according to The Futon Critic. They added that the show will be replaced by repeats of The Office, but I wish they would do it with episodes of Outsourced instead because that has been NBC’s only successful new comedy of the season.
Now when it comes to The Paul Reiser Show, I can understand NBC’s decision. What worked in the ’90s isn’t necessarily going to work today.
Tonight’s season finale of Parenthood at 10p on NBC starts off with the family rushing to the hospital to see if Amber will survive her car accident. Throughout the episode the family will go through many life changing experiences and realizations and ending with two babies joining the Braverman family next season…if the show comes back! But before we find out the show’s fate next season, tune in for an emotional episode that will have you crying at least once tonight.
Tonight at 8p on NBC Friday Night Lights begins its fifth and final season and I think it is its best one yet.
Coach Taylor begins his second season as the coach of the Lions and now he has a team that is ready to play some football. Tammy is beginning her new job as a guidance counselor and it is not going to be easy for her to fit in and the students couldn’t care less that she is there. Julie is off to college, but she is going to get herself in trouble and wait until you see what she does. She isn’t the only one getting in trouble Buddy’s son is having problems with his mom and will be coming home to dad. The football players will also have their issues, but at the end of the day it is all about Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can’t Lose. And this season is a can’t lose, so don’t miss on seeing the final season of one of the best shows ever to happen to TV.
Just like you love this show, this season is about all types of love!
Tonight on NBC at 830p The Paul Reiser Show is going to debut and if you miss Mad About You, you are going to love this show. It has the feel of his other NBC sitcom, but in this new one there is no Helen Hunt. Instead he is married with two kids and the show revolves around his life since the show and now he is father with friends that are not in the business. He hangs with four other fathers who are friends with his kids and we get to see him how is life is different with them. And since it has been 12 years since Mad About You went off the air, he has decided he is thinking of getting back in the biz and it isn’t going as smoothly as he thought and he handles it in a way only Reiser can.
So if you are missing the ’90s sitcoms from NBC, The Paul Reiser Show will fill that vacancy so watch it tonight and every Thursday on NBC!

Wonder Woman might be back on TV in the fall if NBC decides they like David E Kelley’s pilot. But before the network makes their decision, I want you to decide if you like the new costume that Adrianne Palicki is wearing for it? I have to admit when I saw the press photo for it, I hated it. But for some reason seeing her in action in it, makes me like it so much better. It is not as good as the one Lynda Carter wore in the ’70s, but it will do.
What would also do is if NBC would make it a Double Pow for David E Kelley and not only pick up this, but if they also pick up his brilliant new show Harry’s Law for a second season!!!
