Coronavirus Rhapsody is the best song parody of the bunch
March 31st, 2020 under Coronavirus, Music. [ Comments: none ]

There are hundreds of songs reworked for the Coronavirus, but I think Adrian Grimes’ take is the best one. It is so spot-on. It will be our new rhapsody. At least, until this crisis is over.

If you need a smile, then listen to the lyrics. Especially, when he gets to the part where he killed a man. OK. That didn’t make me smile, but it made me think. We all should think about that.

Who knew what we needed today is Rockers singing Smash Mouth’s All Star?
March 24th, 2020 under Music. [ Comments: none ]

Remember how Gal Gadot got her friends to sing John Lennon’s Imagine with her? Well, Colin Young from Twitching Tongues asked his buddies to do the same. Instead, they sang Smash Mouth’s All Star.

It is exactly what I needed to bring sunshine into my home today since I cannot go out. Who knew that all I needed was Rockers from Touché Amoré, Every Time I Die, Harm’s Way, and Angel Du$t singing one of the biggest pop songs of the ’90s. Yet, there it is.

If you want to smile, then press play! It is just you wanted.

Devin Townsend reveals the crappy thing about touring on a bus

When you think of rock stars touring the country on a bus, you think they are living a glamorous life. Turns out, it is actually really sh!tty.

Devin Townsend revealed a secret about bus touring life. The Canadian singer wrote, “You can’t sh!t in a tour bus toilet. No solids. If it’s an emergency, you need to do it in a garbage bag and then throw it away outside. This situation is known as ‘hot bagging’ and is among the least glamorous aspects of touring.” File this under, The More You Know…and wish you didn’t.

BTW Am I the only person who wonders if groupies follow the bus, sneak into the garbage can and take the “hot bag” home with them. This way they can, literally say they have a piece of their favrotie musician.

Huey Lewis and the News have some news
September 27th, 2019 under Music. [ Comments: none ]

Last year, Huey Lewis announced that he had to cancel his tour because he was suffering from Ménière’s disease and he was suffering from hearing loss. Since then, we have not gotten much of an update about his condition.

It seemed like it was the end of the road for the band. Yet, you know what they say, “The heart of rock’n’roll keeps beating.

Nearly 18 months later, we are getting an update from the band. Huey Lewis and the News released their first single in over a decade called Her Love Is Killing Me. Not only that, next year they are releasing their first album since 2001. Their collection of original music was self-produced and self-recorded at their own studio.

When it comes to the single, it sounds like something you would hear on their album Sports. A record that does not necessarily get the respects it deserves. If the rest of their new tunes sound like this one, I cannot wait to hear every track from it.

Robyn’s fans were not Dancing On My Own after her NYC concert
March 11th, 2019 under Music. [ Comments: none ]

How many times after you go to a concert, you still have songs from the show stuck in your head. All you want to do is sing that song out loud, but you cannot because you are too busy looking for your car. Therefore, you are find yourself belting out it in your car, with your friends, while you are stuck in endless traffic trying to get out of that place.

Anyways, while that is us, that was not Robyn’s fans on Friday after her gig at Madison Square Garden. After the concert was over, several of them headed to Penn Station and waited for their train to get home. Since they all had her tune Dancing On My Own stuck in their head, they decided to have an impromptu sing-a-long. Making an awesome concert experience even more spectacular.

How did Robyn feel about it? She said, “Feeling the love NYC 💓” Who wouldn’t after that?

Well, maybe Hall & Oates after I saw them perform at Chastain Park. That is because the duo did not sing Private Eyes at their show. Therefore, as we were walking down the hill to our cars, we all broke out to into the single. Which was totally epic and one of my absolute favorite musical experiences of my lifetime. BTW I am still pissed, to this day, that they did not do it. Don’t you hate when bands don’t play their biggest hits?

At least Robyn did not disappoint. To see her sing that number at MSG that night, then click here!
