CBS closes shop on Watson and DMV
March 27th, 2026 under Morris Chestnut. [ Comments: none ]

The other day, CBS renewed the plagued CIA for a second season. And I knew that meant that the writing was on the wall for Watson. Today, we found that the medical procedural starring Morris Chestnut as John Watson, a doctor who tries to solve medical mysteries instead of murder.

Watson was supposed to premiere during the midseason this season. However, because CIA was not ready to air in October due to the showrunners and cast members leaving the FBI spinoff, Watson’s premiere was moved up several months and did not get the promotion it needed. Plus, it also isn’t a Dick Wolf show, and we know how the networks love him and his series.

Basically, I think it is fucked up that it was cancelled over CIA. But the average CBS viewer prefers police procedurals over medical ones.

And the thing that really frustrates me about CBS is that they never know how to promote comedies. Because of that, DMV is no longer serving drivers and nondrivers. It had a rough start, but once it quickly found its groove, it was the network’s most endearing comedy.

Morris Chestnut can’t stop running from his past

In 1991, Morris Chestnut starred in Boyz n the Hood, and that role still haunts him. How? Every time he hears the song Cambiar by 305WillyBeatz, he can’t get away fast enough.

What is it about that song? That was the song that was playing as his character, Ricky, was killed by a drive-by shooting.

I get where he is coming from. I am sure no actor forgets the first time they are killed off on the big screen, especially if they were murdered in a way as dramatically as he was.

The Best Man men reunite!

In 1999, Taye Diggs, Morris Chestnut, Harold Perrineau, and Terrence Howard starred in the movie The Best Man. Now, 25 years later, they reunited.

Just like a fine wine, they all got better with age! So much so, I need a sequel with all of them in it.

Hey Morris Chestnut, what big feet you have!
November 17th, 2025 under Morris Chestnut. [ Comments: none ]

Morris Chestnut
shared a video of himself transforming from himself into Watson, as in going from sweats into a suit. And all I could notice was how big his dress shoes were. And you know what they say about shoe size… And am I sure he would say, “No shit, Sherlock!”
